Enjoyed a lovely spa package here. Included gym, pool, sauna, steam room, treatment & lunch.
Great location, beautiful views.
Free parking
Relaxed atmosphere. Large premises that needs some work

Stayed at this hotel on Easter friday and Saturday . It was a present from my dad for Xmas of which was purchased via travel zoo.
The first problem was checking in as I had the letter with details but no voucher (although I had reserved the room and spoken to staff on the phone ) the receptionist said she needed a pin and voucher in the end I had to call travel zoo to get these details. Once checked in correctly my husband and I went to lunch at the bar , we ordered the Ploughmans platter which stated to share . All I can say is that it is only enough for one person not two and we ordered fries which came in a tiny bowl resembling and ashtray! The staff did not smile and were not friendly at all.
The meal in the restaurant that night was again not brilliant , I ordered pate on brioche and couldn't eat this as the bread was thick and heavy . When the waitress took it and asked if everything was ok I told her it was too heavy . She came back and said its pate not parfait ! I told her I knew that but I was talking about the bread . She then went on ok . Nothing else was discussed and it was taken away.
We ordered Room service of breakfast in the morning and the sausages were not cooked.
The room was lovely and the hotel was very well placed for walking into Torquay . Just make sure you are ready for unhelpful and not happy staff.
The outer pool was also out of action as it had not been cleaned .

We have just thoroughly enjoyed another three night visit at the Imperial Hotel and benefitted from an offer direct from the Puma Hotel's website. The hotel is in a great position and is under a 10 minute walk from the harbour. Had a lovely large sea view room, I would imagine that the view would be hard to beat at any other hotel in Torquay. Certainly made the most of the views whilst enjoying the sunshine from the sunbeds on the balcony - wonderful! Breakfast was in the large, light restaurant, service and choice were again very good. The staff were very professional, friendly and the cleanliness of the hotel and bedroom was excellent. The public areas in the hotel have been well maintained and the victorian grandness of the interior of the hotel is a real treat to experience!

Impressive aesthetic which rivals, if not beats, most 5 star Hotels we have visited. Lovely spa facilities, although changing rooms slightly on the small side. A fabulous children's play area with many activities to keep them busy for hours! Our room was wonderful, very spacious with a lovely view overlooking Torquay harbour. Beds very comfortable and general cleanliness was of a high standard. It is listed as having wifi but we found that if you stay on the Garden level you can't access the wifi which was rather irritating, the staff are friendly but we did find that their general knowledge of the Hotel was sub-standard - a couple couldn't direct us around the Hotel and the bar staff couldn't answer our questions about the menu. Overall a great stay and will definitely be returning in the future. BEWARE of parking charges, they charge £7 a night which in our opinion is massively inflated and unnecessary. Many Hotels we stay don't charge anything and most we have ever paid previously was £4 a night!!!

Room Tip: If you have kids level M is probably the best as is on the same level as the children's activity area, level G has some very impressive rooms with lovely views but no WIFI.

the only good thing to say about this hotel is it has a stunning view over the bay , the food was ok , the staff were very poor , unhelpfull , did not seem to know what they were doing , far more training is needed , we had some disagreement with the hotel over a locked fire door at night , as i could not get out to the garden with my dog , the manger said they are allowed to do this , some thing iv never heard off ,a locked fire door ,only locked at nights , had to ask the night porter how to get out as there were no signs telling you how to open the door , would we stay again , No way ,
