I stayed here with my partner for a nice weekend break as we had stayed here before. We booked a room with a balcony to enjoy the fantastic views. check in was fine, room not ready (but we were early) so we sat by the pool for a while. Checked in at 3, booked a table for dinner and went up to the room. ....it wasn't as clean as normal. We ordered some sandwiches and 45 mins later they had not arrived, phoned to check on them and was lied too...oh yes they are on the way - just remind me what they are again! !! Cancelled them and went to get some by the harbour, told the duty manager on the way down who basically said oh sorry. Came back got changed, and went to dinner. ...no table had been booked for us! Although it was supposedly Done at check in. Squeezed into a small table up the corner. Service was adequate but certainly not like we had received before. ...the food was lovely. I feel really disappointed in how this hotel has changed, however the next day we were out and about and found a lovely hotel, where service and quality was a plenty, so thankfully I will not have to stay at the imperial again.
