This is an expertly run hotel, its management and staff always go the extra mile, above and beyond the call of duty, they are all so friendly and make you feel part of the 'larger family' this is the first time we have stayed here and I have already booked two weeks for 2013! the food is excellent and beautifully presented and served. All the staff look smart. The room had a lovely view of the bay, one of the best, the bed comfortable. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough.
Well done all at Corbyn Head. It was my 60th birthday on the day after we arrived and my two friends ( we are all widows) had arranged a surprise cake to be made and we had coffee, it made my day. The staff really made out stay special, so much so that we were quite sad when it ended. Our luggage was willingly taken up to our rooms soon after our arrival and brought down again on leaving, there might not be a lift but some very willing staff!.

Room Tip: A room with sea view is beautiful, overlooking the bay. Worth every penny. A little noisy at first...

Don't be misled by the glamorous photos or the glowing reveiws from ..........who knows!
This is a shabby, outdated apology of a hotel with couldn't care less, unhelpful staff. My seventy something husband was expected to carry the luggage up the stairs - there are NO LIFTS.
The rooms are small and stuffy with platform beds, not even proper divans. The bathroom is miniscule, the decor dark and dingy. There is a sea view, but what they do not mention is that there is a very busy coast road, between you and the sea, so even if you could get a window open, you would not be able to sleep for the traffic noise. We moved on to a much better hotel further up the coast.

Room Tip: Examine the room before you part with any money!!

My wife and I would like to congratulate Anthony the General Manager and all of his staff at this excellent run hotel. The food and service was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel really welcome. We would and already have, recommended this great hotel to a number of friends and would certainly stay there again.

A lovely hotel with exceptional service and a great restaurant. The service is outstanding from the moment you walk in and the manager can never do enough for you. If you go to the restaurant, we highly recommend trying out the chunky chips or curly chips which were rather yummy for a quick nibble. Breakfast was great too so definitely get that included! On rooms, we had paid for the sea view and the room had ample space especially given we had a carry cot in one of them. The only reason to pay more for another hotel would purely be the size of the pool which is tiny as said in other reviews. We had a car and drove to the public swimming bath which is less than a 5 minute drive away. Highly recommend for a 3 star

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are definitely larger and other standard rooms appeared significantly smaller

My husband and I stayed at this beautifully positioned hotel as part of a group of male voice choir members from the Midlands and found it to be excellent. Always a good choice of food both on the breakfast and evening meal menu and beautifully presented and plenty of it.
We had a lovely big room with a view of the sea and a balcony. The staff are so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. We visited this hotel about five years ago and wondered if it would be as good as it was then and were not disappointed.
Hope to return again in the future and stay for a longer period. Thank you so much for three nights of sheer bliss.

Room Tip: rooms with sea view are lovely but if of course face the road which can be busy. However if you sta...

An excellent hotel. A warm welcome from Reception. A nice room with an outstanding view of the bay. The dining room was most pleasant and the service excellent. The food was of high quality at a reasonable price.

Everyone at this hotel was very helpful

Room Tip: Room 55 was very nice with a balcony and a fabulous view of the bay.

We have been visiting Corbyn Head for several years. We discovered it by chance and were very impressed by the welcome, the food and the views. During this last visit my wife let slip that it was a significant birthday for me. The staff 'went the extra mile' to ensure it would be a memorable occasion for us. My sincere thanks to them. OK, the televisions are not the latest generation, but then the star rating reflects this sort of thing. We will definitely be back.
