I stayed here recently whilst walking in devon with the ramblers. Fantastic hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. I had a room with a huge terrace and view of the sea, it was wonderful. The food in the restaurant is better than I've had in top london restaurants, they have a fantastic chef who has been there several years.

We really enjoyed our trip to the Corbyn Head. As an experience, the hotel has been careful to retain the feel of English hotels from 50 years ago. The staff there could not be more polite and helpful. The rooms are well kitted out. Standards for food and drinks are all reasonably high. There was a husband and wife lounge act on the night we were there, who were very entertaining.

We did call ahead for fresh flowers in the room, and no bedspread, which was confirmed but didn't happen. The water pressure in the shower probably isn't what you have at home. Apart from that, it was great fun and I am sure we would return. If you do go, I would definitely recommend visiting Living Coasts, which we greatly enjoyed.

Excellent reception and management - particularly Donna and Anthony and the food here can first class. We have stayed here several times and always had a spacious and pleasant room with sea view. Bar staff are welcoming and friendly and on most recent visit the Dover Sole could not be beaten and was filleted expertly at table. My only criticism would be that the standard of English of many of the young waitresses was very weak indeed and a couple of fellow guests found it difficult and obstructive as did we. In addition they were not as smiley as the other staff and this was noticable. The coffee after dinner was weak too so if the Hotel sorts out these two areas it is will be even better. Would certainly recommend this hotel for service, value for money and location

Room Tip: Talk to reception when booking as they will do their very best to accommodate

The staff at this hotel were very helpful and nothing was a problem. The food was exellent as was the service. The sea view room we had was top quality. I was very satisfied totally with everything and had a good stay. The only downside was no lift but was not a big problem.

I will agree that it could do with a bit of an update in places. However the service and food quality more than compensate for this.
We had a very enjoyable family break and would definitely go back.
Everyone we spoke to whilst staying there had high praise for the hotel.
