Visited for a meal with our dog and sat outside.the staff noticed it was cold and invited us in with the dog. Food was nice just not over the top. Very nice staff and a quick game of pool with the my 6 year old daughter finished off the night.

The Babbacombe Royal Hotel is situated on the picturesque Babbacombe Downs in Torquay, at the heart of the English Riviera. My wife and I popped in one night while on a short break in Babbacombe. It was a Wednesday evening and the quiz was about to start. We decided to join in with the free quiz and thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't the easiest quiz we've ever entered but it was entertaining, challenging, interesting and extremely well presented. The pub itself is very nice and is very 'locals' orientated. It has everything you require from a pub and is well maintained, with friendly accommodating customers who certainly made us welcome.

Excellent again, can't fault it. We never fail to go there when we are in Torquay or even Plymouth. Brilliant value for money, top quality food and good service. Staff are lovely and very helpful.
As for Charlie C not being allowed in wearing a vest, well what do you expect? Learn some etiquette.

We stayed here as its so close to theatre.. we had room 6 fantastic view over the bay... nice size room comfy bed..lovely bathroom pity about shower water pressure.really low and slow..needs to b looked at.such a nice big showe but u have to stand right under it... we ate in bar which was ok. Usual pub food. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only other prob we had was that we are early risers abd breakfast is between 9. 9.30 which is restricted if u want to get off early.. we were jusy waiting around...breakfast is good the usual full english... nice touch was the small fan it was a god send as it was so warm even with windows open. It was night of england game and to b honest i was expexting noise but no there was none... babbacombe is such a quiet relaxing place.. would certainly stay again but without breakfast..
