I stayed at the Orestone Manor with my partner for a long weekend break. We were delighted with all aspects of our trip and have already recommended it to friends and family.
We stayed in the Garden Suite, along with our pug Albert, and it was an amazing experience - the view has to be seen to be believed. Albert enjoyed his private walled garden allowing us to relax and enjoy the hospitality.
The food at the hotel is superb, from daily staples such as crab sandwiches, to the event evenings with tasting menu of seven courses with sommelier selection of fine wines. Much of the food is locally sourced from nearby sea and farm sources and all is fresh and beautifully presented.
The staff could not be more helpful, polite or accommodating. Even basic enquiries were swiftly and personally progressed with leaflets of suggested outings and day trips being cheerfully delivered along with our breakfast to the room.
The location is brilliant - combining semi-rural beauty, sea views, but within striking range of shopping and provisions in Torquay. Devon has some challenging roads to the urban driver, but after a few outings pose no problem.
We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and will definitely be visiting again.More
