Located down a narrow lane with some rooms overloking the sea (bit distant though) this is a rather old fashioned (in a good way) but well maintained hotel set in it's own, quiet grounds. The feature rooms (we were in 6) are very large with large bathrooms containing bath and separate showrer. All the usual things you'd expects inclu Sky TV, coffee making, hairdryer, iron, etc and plenty of space for a large bed and occasional furniture. Breakfast was very good with eggs cooked to order and a good choice of other things. Dinner was nice though be aware some room rates include dinner. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Difficut to fault if this is the type of hotel you are looking for.

This hotel is located down a (very steep) lane in a quiet and beautiful location.
We stayed in room 10, which is tastefully decorated and has a private patio, which gives this room a little extra.
Breakfast has everything you need on offer.
Highly recommended hotel.

Room Tip: Room 10 is tastefully decorated and has a private patio. It's up two flights of stairs up, but the staff is happy to help with luggage.

We arrived at this wonderful hotel, excited and ready for our 3 night stay. We were not disappointed. From the warm welcome to our beautiful room to the scrumptious food and friendly, professional staff our stay was everything we hoped it would be.
We will definitely be back.

A brilliant stay to celebrate a birthday. Comfortable room, a sea view, fabulous food and attentive staff. A lovely environment. Couldn't fault the service. Lovely walk to the beach, though a hilly walk back !!

This visit was for a holiday treat and it was well worth the short drive from our hotel in Torquay centre. We arrived during the first birthday of ownership for the chef owner, they offer accommodation too. Easy wheelchair access into a lovely dining room with views over the garden and out to sea. It is a popular restaurant and I recommend booking in advance.
My wife had the crab ravioli followed by twice baked cheese soufflé which was all very tasteful with great presentation. I had the wonderful beef stroganoff, highly recommended. We enjoyed a creme brûlée and an Oreston mess sharing them to get the flavours, we also had wine. Three courses with a bottle of wine came to around £75, which is good for this high standard of food and service. They were setting up for afternoon tea as we left. Great service to go with high quality food.
