“great guest house”
Reviewed 17 February 2014

Stayed two nights at this lovely guest house. Room was beautiful, smart décor, very comfortable bed. Fridge, tv, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities...extra fresh milk offered to put in fridge. Really well cooked breakfast, you could have anything you required. Daniel was the nicest host we've ever met and nothing was too much trouble. Only met Andy for brief period but he seemed a very nice guy. Will definitely be going back and recommending to our friends.

Room Tip: Only five rooms and they are all beautiful, recently decorated.

My friend and I have just stayed at Tyndale B&B. From the moment you arrive Daniel and Andy make you feel really welcome. Everything is spotlessly clean, with a really fresh contemporary feel, but without loosing the character of the period building. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, with fruit, cereals, with a choice of full English ( vegetarian available) or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. It is well placed, being approximately a 15 minute walk to the front, and a 5-10 minute walk from Torre station. We went to the theatre to see Blood brothers, which was the best musical I had seen in a long time, and ate in a really good Italian restaurant. I would definitely recommend the Tyndale, and will stay there again if visiting Torquay.

Lovely owners, lovely breakfast, lovely warm inviting layout and interior. I will definitely stay again with my other half. I was even given fresh milk in our personal fridge in our room so we could have a good cuppa Xxx

I booked this B&B only a week or so prior to my stay based mainly on the brilliant price and the reviews on here. I can only agree with what has been previously said. Just like a home away from home with all the amenities you could want. Free WiFi, a mini fridge, TV, kettle, en suite... Brilliant! The room was spotless as was the en suite bathroom. The free amenities (shampoo, shower gel, shower cap and vanity kit) really gave a welcoming touch. Daniel, whom I met on arrival was a fantastic host. Even though I declined the breakfast due to being unlikely to make it down in time, he still offered both days and made me feel welcome.

In terms of location, it is a fair way out of the town centre but only a £5 taxi ride. If it's nice enough to walk though, it only takes you around half an hour which I did one morning.

All in all a brilliant and comfortable stay. Would recommend to anyone!

Had a one night stay at Tyndale in lovely torquay and our room was large and totally spotless, the whole of the house was! We did get a taxi into town as it was a little bit of a walk for us but maybe not so much for others. The breakfast was superb, cooked to perfection in a lovely dining room, would definitely stay here again if visiting Torbay area.

We stayed 2 nights recently and loved the location, very convenient. Everything was spotlessly clean and the attention to detail faultless. Daniel was really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our breakfast plentiful and freshly cooked. A lot of hard work has gone into making this a perfect place to stay in Torquay. Well done to Daniel and Andy.
