A very noisey hotel full off stag and hen do's.Not too bad if you go in the week but avoid the weekends especially in the summer months! Some money needs to be spent on new beds and furniture in the public bedrooms, as it is looking very shabby.Nice views across torbay from the bedrooms.

Stayed there the weeked with 9 other lads, had a great time, would go back again.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, although the owner reminded me of basil fawlty a little! He had a very quirky sense of humour, but that made our stay all the more entertaining.

Location is excellent, with beautiful surroundings.

Breakfast was ample, and the bar on the night stayed open very late.

The hotel did have a lots of stag groups and parties of girls. It did get very roudy at times, so I wouldn't recommend for couples who want a quiet get away.

Overall a very enjoyable stay, we had a great time.

Location was ideal tho a little steep on the way back up after a few beers but very helpful in walking off the fabulous meal we ate at Legends.

Room was very very small but clean, fine for our two nights but wouldn't recommend for longer stays.

Full hearty breakfast. but we also had the comedy act which with hangover is very grating - and we heard the same routine the second morning with other new guests.

  • Liked — location
  • Disliked — comedy act - so annoying put me off going back here.

My partner and I plus his parents stayed at this hotel for one night. None of us liked it at all. I have booked it directly through their website: http://www.bramptoncourt.co.uk/. They advertise themselves as 4 star hotel but it was more like 2 & 1/2. Even the sign on the front of the building had the fourth star scratched off. All the communal areas stank of smoke and haven't been ventilated since the smoking ban I guess although the rooms were quite clean. The staff had no personality and during breakfast, we had to endure a terrible comedy routine from rather a weird member of staff who thought himself extremely funny. To top it all up, we all got told off for not eating his awful tomatoes. My partners' parents who flew here from Australia were in shock as you can imagine. So overall a very VERY average place with misleading advertising on their website and not at all anything near what they describe themselves as.

  • Liked — Leaving it the next morning
  • Disliked — The smell in the communal areas

My fiancé and I stayed at Brampton Court almost three years ago for our first holiday together - we'd been together less than a month! The owners were friendly, and the hotel was lovely and quiet. The room was nice and good value for money (although the bed was a little old!), bathroom great and views down the hill to Torbay were beautiful, especially at night. Rooms and very reasonable and include a yummy full English breakfast.

We visited Dartmouth, Paignton, Castle Drogo and several other places - the hotel is well places to tour round much of Devon.

Definitely recommended for a british seaside break.
