This is an absolutely lovely guest house to stay in. Andrew welcomed us and our dog when we arrived, quickly booking us in and showing us directly to our room. A dog bed and bowl were provided for our dog free of charge. Andrew was very attentive whenever he saw us around the facility, always checking in to make sure things were alright. Breakfast each morning was delicious and served again by Andrew and his sister. There was plenty to eat as well as juice, coffee, tea and milk.

The lounge was also very clean and relax, stocked with an ample bar and selected snacks. In the lounge we also found a little library of books which we indulged in while having a relaxed drink one evening. Our room, (3) was quite small, with just enough room for a wardrobe, desk, tv, bed, single chair and the dog bed to fit in a corner. However, everything was very clean, and the shower was warm and had a good flow.

The hotel is very near to the main strip leading to the harbour. We weren't interested in attractions outside of the harbour in Torquay, so it was great for us to park our car upon arrival and only have a short walk to get where we wanted to be. Andrew did have a bunch of information and maps for things to do around the area if you were interested.

We didn't sleep the best, despite very lush pillows, the mattress didn't seem to agree with us. But all that aside, we had an absolutely relaxing and enjoyable time at the Robin Hill. We would be happy to recommend it to others and return one day.

A warm and friendly welcome by Andrew on our arrival. First impressions of the hotel was amazing. Booked into our room which was room 11 and a room adjucent for our 8 yr old son, it was perfect and first class to say the least, cleanliness 100%, luxery fluffy towels and spoilt with flat screen tv in each room and an iPod deck. A variety of choice for breakfast, would recommend the full English, delicious! Andrew and staff was lovely, would highly recommend thid hotel, we most definitely will be back. Thankyou for our fantastic stay :-)

Arrived Friday evening and welcomed by both Angie and Andrew, nothing would appear to be too much trouble, swiftly booked in, room just amazing, didn't want to move the cushions, like a show home.
Bathroom spacious and clean. Bar well stocked meeting all our needs.
Saturday, breakfast excellent and set us up for the day out, Back to the Robin Hill a few quiet drinks, dinner, Andrew suggested a local Chinese restaurant, simply great and then bed all very relaxing,
Sunday, breakfast again excellent, we left for home planning a return visit,

Many thanks to Angie & Andrew for a great stay at The Robin Hill Hotel. From the moment we arrived we felt totally at home. They were so welcoming and attentive to our every need. We stayed in room 6 which was very comfortable and clean with a great en-suite. The bar area was comfortable and well stocked, and breakfast was delicious. They have only owned the hotel for 9 months but in that short space of time they have started to make this place their own. The location is just right, being away from any noise but close enough to be just a few minutes walk from the harbour and town area. All in all a fantastic place to stay that we would recommend to anyone looking for a home from home. We can't wait to return again soon.

Room Tip: All the rooms looked really nice

Thank you for such a positive review. As our first guests this year we're very pleased that you like what we're doing to the place. We still have a lot to do and know it will take a little while to get all of the rooms to the same standard. The weather, of course, has not been kind for a couple of months but your visit brought the first signs of Spring and despite some of the TV coverage, The Robin Hill Hotel and indeed Torquay is definitely open for business. Come again soon.

28/12/2013 We stayed for one night with our dog on the way back from Cornwall and it was very
pleasant stay, the room was a bit basic being a dog friendly one but it was clean and comfortable. The host was lovely and couldn`t do enough for us. In the morning we came down to a fantastic breakfast selection, cereal juice cakes etc and when our full English breakfast came we we`re not disapointed it was very hot and and plentiful. We will definately go back there.

Many thanks for the positive review. As you have seen we're dog lovers ourselves and are pleased to welcome well behaved dogs to some of our Standard rooms. Although our Superior rooms are larger and better equipped we have taken a decision to keep them pet-free for the present. We are steadily upgrading all the rooms at the property and hope you will enjoy the benefits on your next visit. - Glad to see you enjoyed our expanded breakfast selection as well.

We found this hotel through an internet search as we did not want to go as far down south as Cornwall as we normally would.

The hotel is just off the harbour area of Torquay, no more that a 10 minute walk away from the clock tower but it was quiet and secluded. The owners were very welcoming and took the time to introduce the venue and facilities and offered to assist with luggage, We felt like it was a home from home.

This was a delayed booking / break from September and although we had booked at an agreed rate we were given the reduced October pricing which was a very generous.

Our room was fresh, clean, well decorated and comfortable for a standard room. The en-suite was sparkling clean and well presented with complimentary consumables etc.The bed was comfortable and I probably had the best few nights sleep than I had had for ages. Even though we had the "great" storm

Their was plenty of choice for breakfast and the full English was well cooked with generous proportions.

Would I stay here again, yes and would without hesitation recommend to others and they are pet friendly !

We have just come back from Torquay on business. We found this hotel en-route on our travels. What a really good choice! The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and even offered to carry our bags for us. How very gentleman like. The room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable having recently been redecorated to a high standard. The weather was awful so we stayed in and had drinks in the lounge. Andrew, the host, served us drinks for most the evening and even ordered us a pizza as we had decided the weather was too bad to go out. What a beautiful building, wow!. It is so nice that they are trying to restore it to its former glory. We will return one day and would advise anyone else to stay here. Overall what a lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 6 which was lovely!
