“Great choice for a relaxing break”
Reviewed 3 August 2011

This small hotel, close to the harbour offered us superb accomodation, extremely clean, with little touches that make a stay special, such as bottled water daily as well as delicious biscuits in the room.Breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice and plenty to set you up for the day. And so many magazines to choose from.!!!. Chris was most helpful and Jean was extremely efficient at breakfast time. What a change to use a real key to open and close your bedroom door.!!We would not hesitate to recommend Haytor to anyone.

On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Chris. Our room was spotless, nicely decorated and spacious. Breakfast was very good. The hotel's location is ideal, 5 minutes from the harbour front. The garden is lovely and it is nice to relax there. Also parking is not a problem as there are plenty of spaces. Would definitely recommend a stay at the Haytor!

Myself and my husband stayed at The Haytor Hotel for 2 days. The hotel is in an excellent location. All the staff at the hotel were very helpful, and Chris the owner advised us of some restaurants to visit, one of which was outstanding. We cannot fault this hotel and will definitely stay here again when we visit Torquay

The service in the hotel was wonderful and very personable. The breakfasts were especially brilliant, filling you up for the day, without being too skimpy. The rooms, although slightly smaller than anticipated, were well presented (there was a slightly soiled towel left for us, but was replaced the next day) and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for a while (including my own!). All in all, a great hotel in a great location.
