“Fabulous!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2010

A wonderful welcoming and friendly hotel set in a quiet location but only a few minutes from the harbour. The hotel, run by the owners, is exceptionally clean and the decor wonderful. There was a good choice for breakfast and was very enjoyable. We would recommend this hotel for couples and we enjoyed it so much we will be returing later in the summer.

A great hotel with very high standards throughout. Its location is pretty well perfect - in a quiet area but only five minutes walk to the harbour. We look forward to returning to this hotel for another relaxing break. Highly recommended.

We've stayed in a lot of Torquay hotels and is by far the best for quality and friendly service. The location is great too. We'll definitely be back.

Stayed in the past and it is always good. Clean, modern and friendly. Location is great, easy walk to harbour area. New attraction this time, duck pond with Indian Running Ducks

Only critisism on our part was that the room was just that little bit too small, but exceptionally clean and fitted with nice furniture. Nothing was too much bother for the owners and we would definitely stay at this very welcoming hotel again.

Had a most enjoyable Birthday weekend at The Haytor. Beautiful Hotel in lovely location everything just a short stroll away. We were both well looked after. After a good nights sleep we enjoyed a delicious breakfast which set us up for the day. The weather was glorious and we were able to sit in the lovely garden with an early evening drink before strolling into Torquay for a lovely Birthday meal. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

My Partner and I have stayed at the Haytor Hotel on three previous occasions. The fact that we keep returning says it all about this quiet and comfortable hotel located within walking distance of Torquay town centre and harbour front.
Breakfast is high quality with a good continental choice and and plenty to choose from the kitchen. Staff are friendly and full of advice as to excursion options and local restaurants to visit. We find it an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful countryside and coast of South Devon. We will be returning to the Haytor.
