After visiting last year we decided to come back again. I tried the chic chip scones & they were delicious. One of the best cream teas I've had & you could also swop your tea for coffee at no extra cost which was great!
The children also loved the chocolate cake :)

We came across this tearoom by chance, but we we're not disappointed. My sister and I ordered 1 cream tea, and 1savoury Devon tea so we could have a bit of each to share. All I can say is wow! Why have I never thought of doing cheese scones with chutney and cheese, absolutely delicious. The scones were light and fluffy with just the right amount of cheese/fruit, and the jam and cream yummy. The apple slices for the savoury ones were a nice touch too. Also possibly one of the nicest pots of tea I've had, lovely leaf tea that once stirred made a really nice brew. The rest of our party were also really happy with their cream teas. Definitely recommend this place, friendly staff, and a lovely atmosphere.

Seriously, don't even bother with anywhere else, this is the real McCoy. A very quaint traditional tearoom on the harbour front in Torquay, this is a real gem. Four perfect warm scones( a choice of fruit , plain or cheese with chutney),generous pots of clotted cream and strawberry jam. Leaf tea served in a beautiful china pot complete with strainer. Beautiful china ware, the teapot was a "good pourer" and the scones were served on a beautiful cake stand. Old fashioned genteel service. Loved it! We felt really spoiled.

We were just walking by and the cafe looked nice, clean and well laid out. There seemed to be a steady flow of customers, which is always a good sign. We shared a crab sandwich and cake and both were really good and unexpensive. The drinks we had a mocha and a latte were both of high quality. Good selection of food, cakes and drinks. Pity we were not in Torquay long enough to go back.
