Nicky and Steve are a great couple and we were greeted with a welcoming cuppa on our arrival. Our case was whipped up to our very comfy spotless room and our few days away were off to a great start. It is in a nice location with a couple of handy bus stops just a few yards away to whisk you into town. Though an amble through the Abbey gardens and along the front is a pleasant alternative way to get there too. After a good nights sleep in a nice comfortable bed, you get your day off to a good start with a very nice breakfast. If you have a "Good places to Stay book" you have to put this one in it.

Everything was just perfect at Buckingham Lodge from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Nicky and Steve were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms were spotless and breakfast choices excellent, could not have wished for anywhere better to stay. Situated in a good location with car parking and bus stops just outside. Nice walk through Torre Abbey Gardens along the front to harbour and shops. Will definately return if in the area again.

I've been visiting Torquay for 35 years, and have stayed at more hotels than I care to remember, but this one will take some beating. A great location, away from the busy centre, but still within an easy stroll, through the Abbey grounds and along the seafront. Spotlessly clean rooms, and you can expect a very warm welcome from Nicola and Steve. A breakfast to banish all thoughts of eating again at lunchtime,( you must try the homemade marmalade ). With plenty of parking spots available, a bus stop nearby, you've got everything you need for a great stay. A big thumbs up from us !!

Nicky and Steve always go the extra mile to ensure that everything is just right for your stay. They even got our favourite wine in for us. The rooms and public areas are always absolutely spotlessly clean. It rained on Friday but they were very happy for us to sit in the lounge all morning, providing us with tea and coffee too. We've already booked for next year! It's very handy for the Riviera Centre.

Room Tip: Room 1 is a large bright room which can be either twin or king size. Room 6 has a fridge in it.

Spent 4 nights in the middle of June. Nicola and Steve made us feel very welcome. Both rooms that we had were spotlessly clean and had very comfortable beds. Even though the guest house is so close to the seafront, we could leave the windows open at night for ventilation and there was surprising little noise. There was a good choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and muffins for breakfast (all self service) and Nicola's full English was delicious. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

First visit to Torquay so was really looking forward to it, Buckingham Lodge was a ideal location to stay just about ten minutes walk to the beach and probably about another 10 to 15 minutes to the harbour.Steve and Nicola made us very welcome when we arrived offering us a very welcome cup of tea or coffee. The rooms were very clean spacious and with a hairdryer television, tea and coffee making facilities and use of a iron, small bathroom but everything one would need it was great. All the rooms are different so they can cater for all types of familes etc. The full english cooked breakfast was of a very high quality food and plenty of it.If you didnt want to walk to the harbour there was a bus stop just up the road a number 32 which run about every 20 minutes so couldnt have chose a better spot to be staying.

Room Tip: Phone up Steve and Nicola direct and they can advise you of a room to suit your needs

Spent the last weekend at Buckingham Lodge. Had. Fantastic stay, the Lodge is close to the sea front and walking distance from the town centre and harbour. The hosts, Nicola and Steve with very hospitable and welcoming. Great breakfast, clean, spacious rooms well decorated. Rest of family stayed in family room which was great. Had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend to anyone. Give them a try if you are thinking of staying in Torquay.

Room Tip: Two very good family rooms, one with bunk beds.
