Does what it says on the tin. Expensive for a 4 year old who is too little to play properly. A few of them were flooded, so couldn't be used properly, yet they still charged us full price! But it passed the time one evening.

Abbey Pich & Putt 9 hole course is in a attractive location between Torre Abbey and the sea & provides gentle entertainment for those who just want a knock-around and don't expect too much from the 'course'. It only costs £4.50 to play so is quite reasonable. The greens are passable for a Pitch & Putt, but all the bunkers were neglected and in poor condition at the time of my visit, There was grass growing out of them and holes & footprints, which had clearly been there for days if not weeks, mainly because there are no rakes.
There is no signage on the course from green to next tee, so people were wandering around tyying to see the numbers on the flags. At some stage someone has painted numbers on the rubber mats but most have worn off.
There were empty plastic bottles and quite a bit of rubbish in several areas of the course, presumably thrown there by course users or the previous evening by antisocial people.
I had taken a golfing friend telling her that we could have a bit of fun and practice our short game. We were left feeling disappointed & didn't stay long for the above reasons and a felt bit sad that the Pitch & Putt course did not portray the right impression to the many visitors to the area.
I thought it was a local council attraction, so asked the young man at the 'hut' if if could pass my feedback onto a manager. As a matter of principle I also asked for half my money back, as the bunkers were not playable and we had cut short our 'game'.
He made a call and I was handed a mobile phone to speak to a man who did not introduce himself and just said in an angry tone "Yes and what's your complaint!" I politely told him the above details, but he seemed angry throughout. When asked he gave his name, which I think was Heath Parkin and said he was " the owner, not just some manager".
He was disappointed that I chose to complain, as he said that most people were happy with the course and he ended by saying that he hoped it would make me happy that he would do something about the bunkers. It will, as I feel that visitors to Torquay should expect a good standard from all the attractions. I hope the owner also buys some rakes (which can be taken in at night), pays attention to better signage and tidies up the litter, so people can enjoy what should be a lovely attraction.

A nice little 9 hole course with some challenging holes, however can sometimes can be held up by others who are a bit slow at playing.
