Im a vocal entertainer and I stayed at this hotel while gigging in Torquay. The hotel staff are brilliant and very friendly and they will go out the way to help you. This place is more ideal for pensioners I say this because my wifes Nan and Grandad go here every year and her nan is 80 years old and her grandad is 80 soon and they love the place. But pensioners love the place all in all anyway . The Entertainment is not the best but at least you still have entertainment and Bingo.Rooms are not to bad and they are cleaned daily and the beds are comfy so thats half the battle. I would stop here again if i want a relaxed holiday as it is a relaxed place. The pool area could do with a revamp as it don't look anything like what you see in a brochure. The hotel is in desperate need of a revamp, Not a negative review from me but it is a average place for young people,If your a OAP and you would like a relaxed holiday then this is for you. Food Ok here as well.

I.ve just returned from a tremendous value-for-money short weekend at The Inglewood courtesy of Leisuretime (Cardiff). The total cost was £59 for 3 days (2 nights B & B and evening meals, coach travel and an excursion to Plymouth thrown in!). My single room was comfortable with a spacious bathroom area and the usual tea/coffee making facilities, my only minor gripe was the old-style tempremental tv with no Freeview channels available. The breakfasts were quite adequate and the evening meals vvery tasty and well cooked. The waiting staff were friendly and very efficient with no long waits between courses. Bar prices were the norm whilst the cabaret was a few notches up on what one usually hears in these type of hotels. I've travelled extensively with Leisuretime over the last 4 years and most of my trips have been very enjoyable but tis one was remarkably good for such a modest cost and I'd certainly return to The Inglewood again. By the way, ths hotel and the Kistor is owned by Mark of The Gosvenor fame (see the hilarious Channel 4 doc, The Hotel.

Room Tip: Room 10 was more than adequate for my needs

Visited hotel as part of a 5 day coach trip on a half board basis Several coach parties in the hotel Very warm all the time heating good no complaints about being cold.Food good plenty of choice although parts of the dining room dark Bedroom we had needed a change of mattress Springs felt as if they were coming through Walk in shower room en suite. hospitality tray and hairdryer provided Evening entertainment average and last night was a party night, Many people staying here are repeat bookers. Hotel could do with a bit of money spending on it but otherwise ok for what we paid Only downside is the amount of smokers who have to congregate outside the entrance door

Room Tip: ask for a higher floor

Just returned from a fabulous party weekend at the Inglewood Hotel, our 8th year with two coaches from Bristol. Many thanks to Manager, Sue and all staff. especially bar staff, Geoff, Wayland & Craig, who never kept us waiting.

Good entertainment from Stevie B on the Friday night and John St John on Saturday. We do the balloon game every year with Sue but still enjoy the fun of it. There were some excellent karaoke singers in our party which saved us dodgy ones getting up!

The food was excellent as usual; we wouldn’t go back if it wasn’t!!! Really good service from the dining room as well.

Yes, the hotel is a little dated as are many other hotels we have stayed in but you wouldn’t get the low price if it had a makeover. The main thing to us was that we found our room and facilities to be very clean. If there was a problem, it was sorted straight away.

The hotel is owned by Mark who also has the Kistor Hotel, across the road, where you can use the indoor swimming pool and the Grosvenor Hotel next door, with a lovely outdoor pool. The Inglewood also has an outdoor pool.

There is also free Wi-Fi available, just ask for the password at the Reception.

Looking forward to seeing you all next year.

Room Tip: Room overlooking The Riviera Centre

Stayed here for Turkey and Tinsel Dec 2011 [4nights]. The hotel could do with a makeover to bring it up to date, but saying that, the welcome and the food could not have been better. The heating must have been permanently on, as it was allways warm, sometimes to the point of being overpowering. But as most of the guests were of the elderly age group I think they all appreciated this., The staff worked very hard for us all to have an enjoyable time. The entertainment was quite good. All in all it was a good short break especialy for the price we paid. Would have no hesitation in going back there again for a short break.

Stayed at The Inglewood for 5 days / 4 nights with a coach trip. Rooms were a little dated yes, but sufficient for what we needed...clean, comfy bed, shower. Food was good, with good service...did'nt feel hurried at all. Most staff were helpful...joined in our fun by helping us put inflatable seagulls in each others rooms! Entertainment was the usual thing...but you've got to join in and make the most of it! Special thanks to Wayland (whom we called Wayward the whole time, and he did'nt tell us off once) at the bar, for looking after us in the evening....serving the Pinot and knowing when it was time for water and cups of tea!...lots of fun. "I'll watch the bar Wayward" (one of those "you had to be there jokes"!)As a previous review says..its not The Ritz....but you can have alot more fun here! :-)
