“warm and friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2013

Do not be put off staying at the Inglewood by the tired décor or the bright pink building! The hotel inside is SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. The staff are warm and friendly and the food is good. It is just a short walk way from the sea and the town centre or just £4ish for a taxi into the town centre.

Two coaches went from Bristol on our annual visit to The Inglewood Hotel, in Torquay, organised by my Mother As this year was my husband’s 70th birthday, my Son, his wife Mandy and our two grandchildren, aged 12 & 15 came. They have already requested the same room for next year. There was mixed ages, my Dad at 90 and Mum 86 all had an excellent weekend, with great entertainment.
The hotel is very close to the beach and walk through the park by the Grosvenor, next door, got you there in about 3 mins.
Yes, it still needs updating but the hotel is kept spotlessly clean in all areas. You would have to be extremely fussy to fault the food. It is excellent, and the service compliments it. Thank you to Louise and Peter for serving so quickly, our food was always hot.
Sue, who manages the hotel for the administrators, is doing a fine job and I just hope whoever buys the hotel, keeps her as Manager and Geoff as Barman. See you next year.

had a good new year at the Inglewood satisfied with the booking and the food with the service was very good! my only complaint is the same as when you go to any hotel in Britain the drinks prices are scandalous? and to pay one pound fifty pence for a half glass of lemonade or coke is not on its not even proper lemonade /coke its this make up stuff which you can make for Penny's the hotel could do with upgrade but you could say that about many more hotels? the hotel was clean and friendly what more do people want for a short 5 day break. (thank you for a good new years break)

Room Tip: unable to do so because what suits me may not suite some one else we were in room 2 we were happy wi...

Stayed for a 4 day break (Monday to Friday) as part of a group. We found the hotel to be warm welcoming and clean with excellent service.Good food served quickly and efficiently with friendly staff. There were a few minor complaints about the comfort of the beds from some people in our group but we must have got lucky.
Good location 500 yards from sea front.
All in all really good value for what we paid.

what do people want;its listed has a 2star and I can honestly say a good time was had by my friend and I.Good food, entertainment every night, plus bingo.
The rooms cleaned every day, clean towels if you wanted.and staff very very helpful.
It does need revamping, then the prices will go up.
I travelled March this year 2012.and loved it.
Just to mention we are 6 ladies going in the Kistor next year

Went on a coach party trip,Monday to Friday, friendly bunch of people.
The hotel was fully booked, the room was comfortable and clean, shower over bath only, not good if you are elderly or handicapped like my mum.
The food was good and the service excellant.
Company policy was changed half-way thru the week, had complaints from other coach party about us leaving drinks on our table whilst having our dinner down stairs.
