Review of Anstey's Cove

Anstey's Cove

Fantastic views, though a steep decline to get to the beach but well worth exploring if you can. Great for Kayaking too and just taking in the amazing coast line and scenery of south Devon.

Having ended up here by accident we had a great afternoon exploring this hidden gem.

Parking was free and following a walk down the cliff path (easier going down than coming back up!!) we found a cafe. Prices were good and food quality was excellent.

The cove itself had rocks to climb and pools for the kids to explore and go crabbing. A nervous parents nightmare but heaven for fearless kids!

Definately somewhere worth spending time exploring, or sitting back with a cappuccino and watching kids enjoy themselves

When in Torquay must go for a visit to Anstey, not only beautiful, it has history too. Relax, have a coffee and let the outside world wait.

Came upon this almost by accident found free car park and then foot path to beach. Glimpses of beach and sea were quite spectacular. Steep walk down but well worth it great little cafe and toilets a bonus.

A very nice sun trap.

Take a walk down the steep path to Ansteys Cove and you could be on a Greek Island.
Although the beach has been closed for a number of years now (due to rock falls) the Cove has not lost its charm.
It still has crystal clear water ideal for Divers. The Café is clean and reasonably prices. You can hire Canoe for a paddle round the cove or hire a Deck Chair and simply relax.
Toilets on site
