Mount Edgcombe hotel is a very nice place to stay when on holiday in Torquay. The place is quiet and is a good place to rest after a long and tiring day. It is a family run hotel and the staff are very friendly and accomodating. The food is very good and served on time. We recommend this hotel to our friends and to other people planning to go on holiday to Torquay. Pam and David are wonderful hosts.

July 2014 We booked at the last moment and were not to sure what we would find but need not have worried . Mount Edgcombe was so clean and every thing was of excellent quality. All the little extras were provided in our room and the food was wonderful . 10 out of 10 marks to Pam and Family . We would love to go back and would recommend it to everyone . Happy Holiday .

Room Tip: All the rooms we saw looked great !

Mt Edgcombe was a very pleasant experience for my cousin and l. We were up graded to a large twin room, which had everything you needed. Decor beautiful, lovely furniture, bed very comfortable. Lots of extra's.

Room Tip: We were on the side and very quiet, so not sure about front rooms.

We recently visited Mount Edgcombe for 3 nights over a weekend and what an enjoyable weekend it was!
We arrived at around 7pm on Thursday night and were greeted by Pam who couldn't do enough for us. We checked into our room (I believe it was a deluxe double, room 2) which was very modern, huge bed and very clean, perfect for us. Small touches such as tea and coffee amenities, fresh milk stored in a mini fridge and TV made it even better!
Each night, a form was left in our room where we could choose which options we would like for breakfast, such as a freshly made smooties, items for a full english breakfast, bacon rolls, fresh pastries and so on, which all tasted excellent.
We ventured out to Torquay in the morning, the walk is around a mile to the harbour, we did this walk there and back twice a day which was fine for us (a couple in our 20's) but for anyone with walking difficulties this may be a problem!
Pam was brilliant in helping out with restaurant choices and helping us decide how to get across to Dartmouth (we used the old war ferry in the end, £7.50 each return with a chance of seeing seals! Dartmouth itself was beautiful) and we could not fault the staff in anyway!
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would defintiely return in the future!

Room Tip: Room 2 was lovely, on the ground floor with beautiful flowers situated outside.

This was our first time in Torquay and we were very pleased to have chosen Mt Edgecombe. Pam was very helpful and welcomed us with a pot of tea on arrival after our bus trip. The room was spotless, bathroom modern and a nice breakfast every morning to set us off for the day. Pam gave us a map on arrival explaining how to get around which was so helpful. When back in Torquay I will definately stay here again. We were made to feel so welcome, thanks Pam and David for making our stay an enjoyable one. Mariane and Ralph

Mount Edgcombe was a snap decision for a two night break in Torquay. A warm greeting and an impressive briefing on the local area was very much appreciated on our arrival. The layout of the facilities here is well thought out and they even have a large collection of DVD's to watch in your room.
Our room was a Suite with a large shower and a great whirlpool bath in a very large en-suite bathroom. The bed was large, clean and comfortable and tea/coffee making facilities are provided in the room.
Breakfast was extensive and was cooked to perfection. Pam and her team have everything very well organised and they make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. A big thank you to all that made our stay so special at Mount Edgcombe.
