Our first visit to this hotel but will be back. Comfy room, good food and very good service, All areas very clean. Communal areas have lovely comfy sofas. Scenic location and the courtesy taxi in to Torquay was very useful and always on time. What more could we ask for?

This was our second May holiday break for two Mums with teenage daughters. Our welcome was friendly with complimentary tea and biscuits. We had asked for rooms with views and these certainly met our expectations - what a pity we were not staying for two nights! Dinner was satisfactory as one might expect from a 3 star hotel but not quite as good as expected from last year. Perhaps this was made worse by our rather grumpy waiter who seemed to want us to eat and depart as quickly as possible at dinner and breakfast. The post dinner entertainment lived up to expectations. Where else could you enjoy Strictly Come Dancing in its truest sense? It's a shame we did not win the Bingo but there's always next year! This is a hotel that goes out of its way to please - just ask!

Room Tip: Phone and ask advice from receptionist

Thank you for your welcome feedback, and I am pleased that you enjoyed your return visit to us. I am so sorry though that your waiter appeared rather grumpy, and seemed to rush you, neither of which is acceptable, and I have taken appropriate action. We strive to have a happy welcoming team, as previously remarked upon, and we want our guests to enjoy the dining experience at their leisure. Good luck with Bingo next visit, and as Sir Brucie would say "keeeep dancing"!

Despie Poor Weather, this was an enjoyable stay, First the good thing's, the food is first class, we stayed on a half board basis, but never felt the desire to eat -out. The "executive" room was a good size, and well equiped, if a little dated, but with good sea views, the staffe were good too , a small problem with the light's was sorted in 48 hrs. The (free) entertainment was ordinary, the "swimming " pool was tiny, really a plunge pool, I was denied the request to swim at other group hotels nearby, unless I paid, meanies. Parking was marginall, I repeatedly could not park on the hotel ground's, though there is parking nearby, tour buses stop here, but are all friendly. The hotel has a great outlook, but is a steep walk from town

Thank you for all your comments, and we are glad you had an enjoyable stay. I am pleased to report that mindful of your request to swim at one of our sister hotels, we now offer this, free of charge subject to availability, bookable via ourselves. With regard to parking we are currently moving forward with further spaces soon becoming available, and I would remind everyone that we provide a complimentary taxi service into town and back each day. I hope the above illustrates our commitment to respond positively to vital feedback from our valued guests.

This is our 4th visit to The Headland and the high standard has been consistently maintained.

Toby, the Manager, makes a point of speaking to each guest during dinner to ensure everything is satisfactory, not just with the meal but also with the room and if there are any issues, these can be dealt with swiftl;y and efficiently to avoid any problems becoming a complaint. It was good to see familiar faces, both at reception with Laura and her colleagues who are always so pleasant and welcoming and the `nothing too much trouble` waiting staff in the restaurant.

A sincere thanks to all at The Headland for ensuring the week-end was of the same high standard as before.

This Hotel is a Gem.

Comfortable bed, wonderful view, edible food, clean hotel, pleasant staff, l we made a good all round choice.

One gripe, on arrival the hotel's dustbins are the first thing you see, right next to the
hotel sign itself. They need to be hidden behind a screen. They were full to overflowing
the whole time we were there.

Room Tip: Executive room with sea view

Your review is much appreciated, and it is good to know you consider us excellent value. I must apologise regarding our bins. They are stored at the side out of full view and only brought to the front for collection, which frustratingly didn't happen as it should have despite our intervention and promises made to us. Bank Holidays compounded the problem which we have taken up at some length with our disposal firm. I do hope however that you will return soon and thank you so much for your comments.
