We visited the Headland hotel for a long weekend with a small group of friends. The Staff and the Food was very good as was our waiter. We hope to return later in the year, would like to go for a sea view room next time as the views were amazing. A*

We have stayed at this hotel previously and we were not disappointed this time. The waiter we had for four of the five days KRYSTOPH was so attentive to the guests needs he could not be faulted however the same could not be said about the waiter who was the relief on his day off. We were first down to breakfast and after twenty minutes I was prepared to get up and walk out. The meals were second to none there was a wide and varied choice both at breakfast and evening dinner.
The choice of a six course evening meal was more than we could manage.
There was a choice of salads and cold meats or a jacket potato if the mail meal was not acceptable.
The room that we had was 134 this was the same room that we had previously .This room has a large bay window that over looks the sea and the gardens in the window is a table and two comfortable chairs where one can sit and watch television on wet and windy days.
On the evenings of every night there is varied entertainment that is in a large lounge that has a varied stocked bar.
My husband and I can not wait to return to this hotel that is extremely clean and well staffed.
My only comment on the down side that after speaking to the manager who was extremely understand about my complaint and assured me that the issue was being rectified was the one receptionist who was on in the evening that had an extreme attitude problem. However when this problem is sorted and the waiter that was disinterested has done some shadowing of KRYSTOPHS I will not hesitate to give this wonderful hotel a five stars that I gave it before. Two minor moans did not spoil a wonderful experience. This hotel was once a Russian home of some of the gentry. Superb hotel worth every penny of the cost.

Room Tip: If possible ask for room number 134.

Just returned from a weekend at the Headland with a group of 34 people of all ages. I cannot praise the Hotel and Staff enough there were fantastic sea views from most of the Bedrooms,
the Food was excellent and certainly lived up to the AA Rosette it has just been awarded.

The Hotel was extremely clean throughout and nothing was too much trouble for any of the Staff
the entertainment provided each night was a very high standard, especially on the last night when Jilly and Katie really finished the Weekend off in great style.

I am looking forward to my next visit already !!!

We have just returned from a Bank Holiday weekend stay at this hotel. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and we are looking forward to staying there again when we are in the area. On the plus side the housekeeping, catering and staff were all excellent with a six course dinner in the evenings seemingly standard. The wines and beers were good and reasonably priced. On the minus side it is starting to look its age and the bedrooms need updating. There are no fridges or complimentary bottled water provided. The bathroom we had was so out of date albeit still clean and functional. There is evidence of the rooms being re-furbished slowly! We had an issue with the drinks measures from the bar but when I queried the problem it was soon sorted out. I would recommend this hotel on the basis of my comments here.

Room Tip: Ask for a see view when booking, it looks out over the bay.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review of our hotel. I have passed your nice comments onto the staff members in the restaurant and housekeeping teams. The hotel is constantly having rooms refurbished and has recently gone from an 80% to 83% rating with the AA to reflect the work going on in both the public areas and bedrooms.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Headland to see more of the work carried out.

Kind Regards
