The Cimon could teach other B&Bs how to run as well as this.
In a good location, accessible to the town centre and surrounding areas, this is a charming property run by Adam and Anita,a lovely couple who can't do enough for you but are in no way over-bearing. They totally dispel the myth of the old-fashioned B&B owners of yesteryear,no rolling pins held aloft if you decide to stay out later than 10pm!!! And the breakfast is until 10am which is great. I travel internationally for a living and can honestly say that this is by far the best breakfast I've had, great quality produce and a wide range of choice which can be tailored to suit your needs.
The rooms are modern and very clean, big bathroom and a hair dryer which again,is beyond B&B status,I have stayed in hotels which were a disappointment compared to this.
The pool and surrounding outside seating area are great, the weather was gorgeous and The Cimon is ready for this,I felt like I could have been anywhere in the world.
Plenty of parking and no need to rush off on your departure day as you can use the carpark for the duration.
When you compare value for money(I had looked at premier inn and traveloge which were nearly twice the price and no breakfast)the Cimon is fantastic, and has a nice homely feel to it. If you are staying in Torquay, this place is a must and I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Thanks for the fantastic review, I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay! It's nice to hear the good feedback about Anita's breakfasts - she cooks everything fresh rather than keeping everything warm in a bain marie for hours like everyone else, and you probably noticed the size of the plates - one of the first things she did when we moved in was to buy bigger plates that she could fit more food on! No stingy portions here :)

By the way guests are welcome to use all of our facilities all day on both their first and last days - swimming pool, car park, bar etc - this is quite popular!

See you again I hope, book direct of course!

All good. Couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Great facilities especially adequate parking and a really good swimming pool. Easy walking distance to harbour and beach. Near to all facilities. The breakfasts are really good, using fresh produce. The owners are happy for guests to bring in take a ways, and they will provide cutlery and plates at no extra cost.

On arrival Adam made us feel really welcome, he showed us around straight away the bar area the dinning room and pool.
Adam was very helpful telling us about some restaurants to try, even with a discount if we mentioned the hotels name.
We stayed in room 7 which had a lovely big bed, even had a fridge which was a bonus, the shower room was very clean and large compared to lots of other hotel's we have stayed in, even the little things like toiletries and tissues made it.
Now what can we say about the breakfast I just don't know where to start, it was in a lovely conservatory bright an airy, you could sit where ever you wanted, the range of things to have was unbelievable from fruit juice to fresh fruit, every kind of cereal including gluten free was available, then came the full English which Anita cooked to order , even if you wanted an omelette or just a simple bacon sandwich nothing was to much trouble, and finally the coffee was to die for Adam also told us it was locally roasted an ground.
we went down to see family and used he bar a couple of times Adam also said if we wanted to bring or order a takeaway he would supply the plates and cutlery which not a lot of places would do especially when they do bar meals as well.
Thank you Adam And Anita
Look forward to see you again

Had a 2 night break here last weekend and really enjoyed it. It was myself and 5 year old little girl so I wanted somewhere not too big and somewhere we would feel safe, I spoke to Adam before booking and he assured me we would be fine. How right he was, we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived, Anita showed us around and Adam carried our suitcase up to our lovely room, all nice touches which really makes it all a bit more personal. The pool is fab, a real suntrap, we were lucky enough to have the weather so really made use of it. The breakfast is one of the best I've ever had, fresh fruit, nice quality muselli, really couldn't fault it, overall a lovely place and one we are looking foward to returning to very soon.

We stayed for just one night, having seen the weather forecast (wall-to-wall sunshine) and decided at the last minute to have a weekend away. We obviously got lucky because the Cimon had one room available. We will certainly return for a longer stay as the hotel is first-rate with extremely friendly staff. The town itself is a delight and within easy reach of beautiful coastal and inland scenery.

The staff were all very co-operative and attentive, especially for our 10 1/2 month old daughter. We enjoyed the stay as it felt homely, relaxing and was free to do what we pleased. all faciltiies were good, the room was gorgoeuos. A seperate bar/games area , play room and eating area, heated swimming pool and the outdoor seating area were excellent. We are pleased to reccommend this to others and we will stay again.

Room Tip: superior room was spacious, which allowed my daughter to crawl and walk with out getting in our way...
