we booked the cimon last minute for a three day break, on arrival we were pleasantly surprised as it was in a great location, just a short walk down to the harbour and the town the only thing i will say is that it is quite hilly so not good if elderly or impaired.the hotel staff and the owner made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.the breakfast was excellent served in a sunny conservatory over looking the pool free parking was available on site which is a great asset.the outdoor pool is heated which is nice . just a short drive or bus ride to paignton and brixham and quite close to goodrington station where you can get a steam train to dartmouth also lots of boat trips available.

Room Tip: cant comment as booked last minute and had last room which was room 11 this was quite small and coul...

Thank you for writing the review. Glad you enjoyed your stay! Sorry if it was a bit noisy from the other hotel. If you visit again and book in advance I can make sure you are allocated a different room. All the best from everyone at The Cimon!

My wife and I have had a great break in Torquay.
We were made very welcome as soon as we arrived for our 4 night stay. Our room and bathroom were quite small but was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Tea / coffee /chocolate making facilities were provided in the room.
Our breakfast were very good and cooked to order.
The bar is well stocked and a nice place to end the day.
Now for the bonus, the swimming pool.I really enjoyed using the pool and the hotel provide pool towels. Car parking is not a problem with adequate parking for all guests.
The staff are really kind and friendly and are a credit to the hotel.
Thank you Anita for making us so welcome, we will return I am sure.

Room Tip: Room17 has a sea view.

We stayed just 2 nights. The room was very small but ok for overnight. Bathroom so narrow that even teeth brushing was a bit of gymnastic. Breakfast nice and satisfying. The best is the hotel's location. Decoration and furniture from cheaper end so having 4 stars is a bit overrated. Personal very pleasant, pool small but good for a quick dip.

Thank you very much for the review. We have all sorts of different room types and if you book a superior room there is more space. We do say that our small rooms are mainly for short breaks. We are not a boutique hotel and are very relaxed in our approach and hope most people find it comfy and value for money.
All the best from everyone at The Cimon!

We stayed here for a long weekend and booked this hotel because it had good reviews on trip adviser.i must say we weren't disappointed. We arrived early just expecting to park up and then to book in later but we were told that our room was ready and could book in straight away which was a bonus straight away.we were given our keys and also a map to find our way around which I found was a nice touch. When we were shown to our room we did think it was very small but as it was a last minute booking and the only room available and also as we were only there for 2 nights we put up with it but I don't think I would like it if we had to stay any longer.everything was spotlessly clean. Adequate tea coffee hot chocolate etc in the room. Travel kettle and travel hairdryer in the room.a fan was supplied which was a bonus as the weather was HOT .The breakfast was lovely lots of freshly chopped fruit prunes grapefruit.croissants bread rolls yoghurt and cereals and the cooked breakfast was ace.freshly cooked to order and it was hot.the dining room was light and airy as it was in a conservatory overlooking the pool.didnt take advantage of the pool or loungers but would probably have done if we had stayed longer
The location to town and harbour etc was great .don't think it would be good for people with walking difficulties as there is a lot of uphill walking to get back to it..
All in all we had a great couple of days here and would definitely book again when we are next in Torquay

Great small hotel runned by a nice family. We stayed there five nights with our two children so the heated pool was a good extra to them, why not to us adults too :)
The family room was cosy an there was a nice view to the sea. The breakfast was excellent!
The playroom with its hundreds toys was allso an extra for our 3 year old girl. I would recommend this hotel without reservation! Thanks Adam and Anita!

Great small, family run hotel close to town, beach and restaurants. Swimming Pool was fab for our 11 and 8yr old boys, lovely and warm despite British weather! Fantastic breakfast and great to have the bar for an evening drink post dinner. We had the family room, which was lovely and spacious, my mother had a double on the ground floor, which would have been small for 2 people, but fine for 1. Would definitely recommend.
