“A wonderful b&b, with excellent hosts!!”
Reviewed 8 May 2012

We have just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay at the Baytree. Karen & Chris are wonderful hosts, their attention to detail is second to none. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Anyone can provide a wide choice of breakfast items, but getting it right is another matter, which Karen & Chris do wonderfully, the quality of the ingredients and how they were cooked was excellent!!! Would cetainly recommend and will return for another stay when we next visit Torquay.

We spent 3 nights at the Baytree, and had a very comfortable stay with delicious breakfasts to start our day! The rooms were newly decorated to a very high standard, and were kept very clean. The hosts, Karen and Chris, were able to provide lots of helpful information about the local area, from places to eat to places of interest. They are both very friendly and willing to help make the most of a visit to Torquay! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Torquay, and especially to couples looking for a nice relaxing break.

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely!

We spent 2 nights here in April. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast magnificent. We visited with my mother who has mobility problems and we needed somewhere with level access and suitable accommodation on the ground floor. Karen took great care to describe the access over the phone and when we arrived it was exactly as described and ideal for my mum (even a built in seat in the shower!). We also needed a local restaurant with good access and Karen & Chris recommended the "Ocean Drive" just down the road which was equally friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended

You can't beat the Baytree for cleanliness, excellent facilities in a charming B&B in Torquay.
The hosts were very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and open to chat with their clients.

Everything in our room seemed brand-new and spotlessly clean. I can't think of any negatives.

Just one extra comment - The central heating was wonderful - warm but not hot like it can be in some places.

Room Tip: We had the least expensive room and it was just fine. I assume the more expensive rooms are a bit b...

My partner and myself stayed at The Baytree on what turned out to be the warmest weekend of the year in late March, We decided on The Baytree purely on first impressions from the pictures advertised and we were not disapointed.
The initial warm welcome was well received and after booking in we were shown to our room which looked just as good as we had hoped, in fact The Baytree as a whole is a very clean and well kept establishment pretty much faultless " even the parking" , both Karen and Chris proved to be very helpful and friendly hosts and i can honestly say if i find myself back in Torquay The Baytree is where ill be staying.

A lovely bed and breakfast, very friendly and helpful hosts. We were given lots of information on local places to eat and best of all we wanted to go for a swim and sauna and there was a great place just 3minutes walk where for £10 each we could spend as long as we liked in the pool and saunas then eat in the bistro with a £6 discount off a main meal. Our room was brilliant, spacious clean and a kingsize bed. A really great breakfast menu. We only had one night there but would definetly stay again.
