We had a fantastic time when we stayed at The Somerville. We were made very welcome by Adam and Grant and their staff. The breakfasts were fantastic, as was their advice on where to visit and places to eat. Our room was extremely comfortable and beautiful. Oscar and Hector were also delightful and were very entertaining. There are several very good restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk and the front and marina are also very close. So in summary, a wonderful place to stay in an excellent location.

Enjoy your stay, outstanding value for money. Hospitality and genuine welcome, with fresh milk and home made cookie for first cuppa on arrival in the room.
Breakfast on offer with a real choice, top class with a relaxed atmosphere and offered extra toast, coffee, tea. Just lovely to be treated with a professional but not clinical customer service.
Well Done, looking forward to seeing you again.Soon.

What a truly warm and friendly establishment with a professional yet friendly service. We were greeted and welcomed by Adam who made us feel immediately at ease, we were personally taken to our room and shown around and made sure we were happy. You could really see how important it was for them to make everyone who stayed at the Somerville feel relaxed and there wasn't anything you couldn't have (they had thought of everything!) The room was of exceptionally high standard and the breakfast was amazing. We have a 14 month old daughter and every effort was made to ensure she was catered for. Excellent stay and we wish you every success from Mr and Mrs George.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a kind review and we were delighted to be able to welcome you all to Torquay.

We all know that the 2012 summer weather hasn't been all that it could have been but there are still plenty of things for visitors to do and plenty of ways to enjoy yourself. For example, we had a sneaky afternoon off on Tuesday and went up to Dartmoor (Hay Tor) with the dogs. It's a magical place to explore whatever the weather....

Rest assured, we wil continue to work our socks off for our guests to make a visit here this summer memorable for all the right reasons.

This is like paradise, after being in a band and travelling to nearly every corner of the globe, apart from dubai this hotel is the most georgeous , traveller friendly and luxurious place to stay. There is not enough praise, the beds were so comfy we overslept by 2 hours which we have never done before. The owners were friendly and the breakfast lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The price is also very reasonable considering we paid less than a grotty bed and breakfast up the road. They deserve the 5 star awards and thanks for a delightful stay. Highly recommended.......rooms beautifully spotless

It just goes to show what can be achieved when people take pride in their service.

Our very brief stay was nothing short of wonderful. The passion that the owners have to ensure their guests are made to feel at ease & comfortable, shines through.

I'm often embarrassed what hoteliers think they can get away with, serving cheap rubbish to the masses, but there's none of that here. If all our hotels were run this way, then our tourist industry would be in very safe hands.

Well done all at the Somerville, you're head and shoulders above the rest.

P.S. what a breakfast.
