room clean, clean towels every day , jackie has her work cut at breakfast times, could do with more support , tables not laid to the standard in hotel photos, and all reviews read says jackie and steve! never met him, well done jackie you are a worker. very loud in bar went for a quiet drink but never stayed long as local was beating hell out of drums, not pleasant.

Thank you for your review.
we are sorry that the tables were not laid to your requirements, please do contact the hotel and supply us further advice on what we did or did not do that upset you enough to write about it, that way we can inprove our table laying so it does not ruin table laid enjoyment of other Guests.

When you stayed at the Hotel the Olympic Torch was coming through Torquay, we had arranged for the Torch to be brought into the Hotel and had arranged a Party for the day and evening.
sorry if you dident see me (steve) Funny enough I dont think I saw you either!
I was out side sorting out the bunting, flags and other things, also sorting the catering and setting up for the band and music for the evening!
Sorry the music and drumming was upsetting for you, for that night the music was a little louder than usual, and for a few minutes some youngsters and hotel guests were allowed to have a go on the drums, (why not, it wasent late, it was around 9pm. and the children really enjoyed having a go, plus some of the Dads!!).
We do have a quite lounge upstairs from the Bar for people who prefer not to party, but Im sure you understand that a lot of people do, especially when on holiday, our music always close down before 11-30pm unless we have applied for a special license ie like a wedding or birthday, even with that we endeavour to keep the noise down when its getting late.
Most hotels in the area do put on entertainment and most will continue well into the early hours!, although most b&bs dont have the facilities for entertainment and can be a lot quieter,
Yardley Manor tries to balance it out for all tastes and guest requirements,

Regards

Steve (sorry we dident meet up, I do exist).

We stayed for four nights. The rooms are large our room had a king size bed. The rooms are very clean and was cleaned every day. Great breakfast. Nothing was too much for this family. They made you feel welcome from the day you arrive till the day you go home. The bar connected to the hotel is a real good meeting point. Once again the family run it and make you feel very welcome. The hotel is within walking distance of the shops, bars, marina and eating places Great stay will be going again.

By chance we arrived smack on two o clock to be greeted with a very friendly proprietor who was welcoming and took us promptly to our lovely room with a great view towards the harbour. We found the hotel in an amazing location (about 100 yds from the harbour) with food places and convenience shops very close by.
The hotel is family run and although still a work in progress provided everything we needed ans it seemed the family as a whole were very much there to help out and in fact could not do enough for us.
The breakfast was lovely and the basement pub was very welcoming serving a range of beer and cider at Pub prices - no mark up which is common for B+Bs.
Overall it was excellent value and we would certainly consider another stay.

Room Tip: Room 22 was at the top but was spacious and had a lovely view over looking the Harbour and a nice large bad!

We stayed at the hotel on Friday 6th & sat 7th April, we had two rooms booked one for me & my husband and another for my mum, both rooms we very clean and tidy, fresh towels and sheets were lovely. On arrive we were greated by a young man (son) who showed us to our rooms, man very plesant but a few sentances about the hotel would have helped nothing about breakfast, dinner drinks etc, we had to ask times of breakfast. This hotel as a bar attached to it which to be honest needs a lot of TLC but very clean and tidy, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast is served in the bar area in the mornings which as several steps down to, my not be good for those unsteady on legs, breakfast ladies very helpful coffee, tea served when sat down breakfast excellent.

The only down fall to this hotel was the music played from the bar, this could be turned down a little. Other than that this hotel is worth every penny paid per night and would stop here again.
