Lovely little hotel! Stayed here last weekend it was just clean and modern and really attentive staff! Would love to come here again! Deffinatly reconmened, room was really nice, you get what you paid for but for what they offer in terms of qaulity i was surpised that they offer it cheaper than i expected! Because of how nice the rooms are, location was good 15 mins walk down hill to the sea front! Loads of eating places and loads of things to do in and around Torquay and Again win win all round!

The crowndale is a great, friendly cosey B&B. We would highly recommend this place to stay at. Its 5min walk to most places. Our room was large, had everything we needed and the bed was so comfy I was a little sad to leave it behind. John & Pat was so welcoming and John cooked up a great breakfast while Pat always made sure you had everything you needed. They were also great at advising all the best places to go and visit, Babacoobe being one of them...10min in the car and the views were to die for. Brixham was also great only 20min in the car. Lots of restuarants and some nice bars around the beachfront in Torquay. I hope to return again and will definately plan on stopping at the Crowndale.

A wonderful stay in this spotlessly clean, quiet hotel. A lovely warm welcome on arrival. Tastefully decorated bedroom and ensuite. All we required was provided: very comfortable bed, hot shower, clean towels, complimentary refreshments including bottles of water. TV, parking, local information and a fantastic breakfast - particularly the vegetarian cooked provision. Thank you Pat and John for an amazing stay.

What a welcome from Pat and John! Firstly our parking space was reserved for us and on pulling up Pat was there to greet us. She welcomed us in, being particularly conscious of my mum and her walking stick them immediately offered coffee or tea. John and daughter Sarah sat down with us and chatted whilst we drank that very welcoming drink.
We were shown to our rooms, Mum first as she was allocated the downstairs room which was disability friendly, with a wet room & all the necessary fixtures for a disabled person. The rooms were well decorated with plentiful tea and coffee making facilities including a mini fridge, stocked with complimentary bottles of water - Such a thoughtful touch.
Excellent breakfast in the mornings comprising help yourself cereals, fruit, yogurts and juices as well as cooked to order Full English and fresh cafetière coffee.
Hospitality second to none with helpful advice on the area, local eateries, buses, markets etc as well as friendly, 'feel like you've known them for years ' chat too.
Housekeeping was spot on, with bins emptied, coffee refilled and beds made daily ready for our return to base. Cannot fault this at all.
Crowndale Hotel is highly recommended if you like the personal touch with a friendly welcome and fabulous breakfast....!
Thank you Pat, John and Sarah for making our stay in Torquay so lovely xx
