Owner description: Babbacombe Model Village is Torquay's most popular and visited attraction. Representing British life and culture over the last five decades all in miniature. Animated scenes, along with touches of very English humour bring it all to life. Taking you on a fun, informative and nostalgic trip through the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s to present day, it has appeal for all ages. Famous for its lovely setting in 4 acres of award-winning gardens that are a delight to experience all year round.

“Great 2 hours but not cheap”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

My 4 1/2 year old loved it especially finding Dr Who and other TV characters. Great quality models, quite entertaining (TV characters, sound, animation, immaculate gardens, fire breathing dragon, wedding bells, hot air balloons etc etc). But we couldn't afford for the whole family to go in.

“Tiny piece of Devon”

Wow is the Best word to describe Babbacombe Model Village.
The parking does cost and it's 3.30 for 3 hours and 4.00 for 4 hours.
Check online for discounts before you go and if around for a few days you can get a free return which you could maybe use one for the day and one for the night.
This place is amazing and it will take a good couple of hours to go around. The attention to detail and funny play on words make this so interesting.
The surrounding area is beautifully landscaped and add in both a Thomas the tank engine railway track and big railway track around the grounds.
1 pound to play on boats or cars which is a must.
The cafe is brill and full of lovely drinks and food.
There is free mini golf which we forgot to play but another added bonus to this amazing place.
We fully recommend this place to anyone as it's awesome.

Thank for coming to see us and thank you for your review. Along with the Easter trail, we do have character hunts for children which are popular year round. During school holidays, many visitors also use the free retrun and come back to see everything lit up at night - a completely different and enchanting atmosphere. The Model Village is full of subtle animated scenes, sound effects and humorous displays, but time is required to take it all in. Since May we have opened the west country fishing village and animated 'Arry, our first miniature animatronic resident, has arrived. In July we opened crazy mini-golf. So we are constantly developing and hope that you will one day return to enjoy the Model Village.
