I booked this hotel on line just for 2 nights. Although our room was clean it was very shabby & run down, the sash window was broken & bits of wood were holding it open, where there had once been a curtain pole had not been tidied up big holes showing, the shower was terrible took a long time for the water to run warm then was hard to adjust so it was either too cold or scolding hot. They say parking is available & it is as long as you are one of the first 8 to arrive & dont move your car again till you leave. You can park out on the road as long as you move it by 8 am the next day. I must say though the staff were very good friendly & helpful. Overall I would not book this hotel again & would not recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Maybe choose a room over looking the garden area?

Booked ground floor twin bed room as we are both disabled. To be told no ground floor room available. Were put on 1st floor no lift.also the room was right at other end of building. On opening the door we found the room very shabby with thread bare carpets. On opening the on suite the stench was not nice at all. the surround of corner bath was falling away.the window could not be closed resulting in rain getting on bedding.we stayed 1 night of our 2 nights booked could not cope with any more.A place to be avoided in future.

Room Tip: save your money avoid at all costs.

room very clean and nicely decorated. wonderful views from our room. breakfast ok . bacon a little undercooked. kippers very nice. fantastic friendly staff. A hotel for coach parties not for couples. But we had a very comfortable stay. The hotel could do with a little maintenance work to the balconies.

For the price we paid, it wasn't bad at all. It's close to town, limited onsite (but plenty of offroad) parking. The furniture, carpets and fittings were worse for wear but otherwise clean. Bathroom reminded me of uni halls! There is wifi but signal is limited to the reception and bar area.
Given it's location the hotel does have potential with some investment, but I suspect it is what it is to keep the prices down and cater to a certain demographic.

Although this Hotel needs some TLC the staff make up for its shortfalls.
They were helpful, friendly and went the extra mile to make our visit a good one.
The meals were excellent, very hot, a good choice and huge portions.
If you have mobility problems please mention when booking as the lift does
not service all floors.
Worth paying the extra to get a garden view as the rooms overlooking the
car park are quite noisy
Would use this hotel again
