My 8 year old son and myself stayed here for a few days at the end of May/beginning of June 2011. It is a wonderful place to stay, as only 5 mins walk to the harbour which has a wide selection of things to do for kids and adults alike, with a good selection of places to eat and drink.

Carl and June are excellent hosts and certainly looked after us. The cooked breakfasts were outstanding and luckily for my waistline I wasn't there any longer, but they set us up for the day!

The room we had was spacious, comfy and clean, with tea and coffee making facilities, bottled water which were replenished daily. There is also free secure parking a couple of minutes from the hotel, which makes life a lot easier.

Overall, this is a fab place and we will definitely be staying there again. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!! 10 out of 10!!

This hotel is in a great location for the shops and sea front, a mere five minute stroll away. June and Carl are great hosts and made us most welcome and go out of their way to be of help. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the extra touches such as coffee and tea making facilities in the room and toiletries in the bathroom are an added bonus.
Great breakfast and generous portions. A very comfortable residents lounge with TV.
We will certainly stay in this hotel again.

Myself, Husband and 12 year old daughter recently stayed for 3 nights. We could have easily stayed longer and will certainly be back for another visit.

Carl and June took over the B&B late last year and are certainly fantastic hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

The breakfasts were great and if you needed something that wasn't already provided they would certainly go out of their way to make sure you got what you needed- my daughter requested Orange squash
to have with her breakfast and next morning it was waiting for her with ice! See previous comments about someone who requested black pudding.

The hotel was spotless and the bedroom was spacious. The hospitality tray was well stocked with biscuits, hot chocolate, tea, coffeeand bottled water. There was a flat screen TV in the room and the bed was lovely and comfy. The decor was modern too.

There is a TV room and a small bar area where drinks are a really good price.

The hotel was in a good location with only a five minute walk to the harbour where there is a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

There is lots to do in and around the area whatever the weather. The hotel also provides free wi-fi throughout the hotel.

There are a couple of car parking spaces behind the hotel but the proprietors provide alternative spaces in a barriered car park a short distance from the hotel. You would not need to use your car during your stay if you didn't need to.

All in all I would strongly recommend this B&B and will be recommending it to
all my friends and relatives.

Recently sailed at our Laser SB3 Open, Pre-Worlds and Worlds and stayed with June and Carl at the Kingsholm. Not only is the hotel incredibly convenient for the harbour and the yacht club but its on the right side of town for the main bars and restaurants re nightlife.

The hotel itself is literally 10 mins walk from RTBYC and all the rooms are recently refurbished. The showers are hot and bedrooms very clean and tidy with fresh towels etc. As for breakfast, this is the best. Cooked breakfast every day, eggs how you want them, and a quick chat with Carl procured blackpudding for the week. Incredibly accommodating. Even the guys on the Ukranian boat started having blackpudding every morning. Certainly the entire accommodation, hospitality abd great breakfast sets you you for a day on the water and indeed for a day traelling around if you are just in Torquay for holiday.

Stayed for three nights in early May.
Room was excellent, food was excellent, service was excellent and hotel near enough town centre to be convenient but distant enough to be quiet

Our stay was so good that we have booked again for later in the year.

Room Tip: Book early

We only stayed 3 nights but wished we had stayed for longer. The hosts were very friendly and charming. Our room was very clean and spacious but I must comment on the breakfast as it was second to none. Having wi-fi, tv and coffe making facilities in our room was also commendable.
Location is good as it is on a bus route and only a five minute walk to the harbour. Lots to do and see locally. Being there when England enjoyed the best weather in April also gave us a feeling of being abroad!
We will be returning for a second, third and even fourth time for our short English break.
Well done to the owners, you are doing a marvelous job for the english tourist.
