stayed for 3 nights, the breakfasts were lovely, all cooked freshly for each table. The hotel was very old,no lift but the owner carried our bags to our room for us((very appreciated after a long journey))Our beds were spotless(a little uncomfotable)had plenty of pillows and extra plankets if needed. The room was spotless, there was even a bottle of water, biscuits and fudge on the tea tray((lovely touch)).The bathroom was a little tired, had lovely hand soap, shampoo, hand and nail cream, shower cap, shower gel and soap((wouldnt need to take your own))The hair dryer was great((THEY DONT NORMALY WORK WELL IN HOTELS)).Will visit again.

We stayed at this very friendly hotel for 4 nights from 17th June. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The full English breakfast is as good as you will get anywhere, the fried bread the best we have had for a long time. The hotels location is excellent, just a 5 mins walk to the centre of Torquay with all its bars and restaurants.
We were very well looked after and would definitely stay again.

We recently returned from a 3 night stay at this lovely guest house. The rooms were really clean with a modern twist and great en-suite facilties. The little personal touches in the room like a small fridge, and well stocked tea tray were much appreciated. The location was really perfect, just a short walk down the hill to the marina and promenade. Excellent restaurants were situated along the same road, of various type. The town with all the high street shops was also close by along with art galleries and little tea shops situated around the marina and harbour. Plenty to see right on the doorstep. The owners, June and Carl were warm and friendly and the breakfast each morning was delicious. We had a really lovely break.

Room Tip: Rooms situated on the back of the hotel would probably be quieter.

The hotel is clean, fresh and beautifully decorated. Our room was spacious and comfortable with everything you could need. Perfectly located for the harbour with plenty of choice for evening meals in the area. What makes the Kingsholm special is June and Carl, a couple that are friendly and welcoming, nothing seems to be too much trouble, also June has exceptional cooking skills for breakfast. When we return to Torquay this is the only place for us.

This was our third short break at The Kingsholm Hotel and June and Carl were as always the perfect hosts. Our room was well equiped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The location is superb as you can walk to the harbour or into the main shopping area in just a few minutes. The hotel has a compact reception/bar area and a spacious TV/reading lounge and like our room everywhere is spotlessly clean. Breakfast is super and offers a wide choice with everything freshly cooked and well presented. All this plus free parking for your car.
We will be back again later in the year.

We stayed at the kingsholm for two nights and I can honestly say it was great. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed. Carl and June were lovely !! The hotel is spotlessly clean and the breakfast was great and freshly cooked to order. The hotel is just a short walk away from a lovely harbour were there are some great little shops, bars and places to eat. Perfect location for a lovely seaside break and we will definitely be going back .Thanks so much.
