“Lovely and friendly”
Reviewed 15 August 2012

This lovely hotel was tucked away in a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of Torquay, Ideal to return to after a busy day sightseeing and relaxing to wake up to.

The decor of the hotel and rooms were comfortable and stylish although ours was a little on the small side but the freindliest of the owners and the lovely breakfast and cleaniless more than made up for the minor detail of size of room.
iNothing was to much trouble and the bar was especially opened up for us after a chilly walk along the Esplanade late at night.

We felt we were treated like a family member, and would reccomend this hotel to anybody

ENJOY!

Rod & Sue Wendes.

Our stay in Torquay was made better by the hotel iona. Very friendly staff and extremely helpful. Asking us if we knew how to get places etc. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Torquay. The family room was one of the best I've stayed in for a small hotel ( bnb).

This Hotel was lovely... It was immaculate and was welcomed by the owners after arriving.

We stayed in the premier room with our own private balcony which was ideal.

Clean bedding and room service every day on our 3night break.

Only shame is the distance to harbour, not to bad going as its downhill but heading back after a few sherbets was a different story ha ha, so we opted for a return taxi... Only £6 so fine!!!

Overall a lovely stay and great digs, thank you, would defo reccomend!

We chose this hotel because it was a dog friendly hotel, the room we were given was lovely very spacious clean and comfortable, we had a balcony which was fab.there were a couple of other dogs there but they were very good and the only time you knew they were there was when it was time for walkies.breakfast was good and plentiful.fresh towels every day if you wanted them. owners and staff were very friendly. it was about a ten minute stroll to the sea front.

Room Tip: room 7 spacious with balcony

We have just come back from a weekend stay at the Hotel Iona and I must say I was impressed. From the moment we walked in the door we felt very welcomed by the owners, the room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was gorgeous and plentiful, cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt's as well as a menu for hot food to choose from. The hotel is in a quite location and only a small walk to the sea front and town centre. Highly recommend this hotel, can't wait to visit again next year :-)

We stayed at the Hotel Iona for one night our room was clean, the bed very comfortable. A good size bathroom with nice handwash, shampoo etc provided free of charge. The hotel is clean light and modern. The staff are friendly and so is the sweet little Jack Russell. We had a very nice stay and would definately stay here again.Although this hotel does not have its own swimming pool and fitness facilities it has an arrangement with another hotel so that its guests can use their facilities for a very reasonable daily rate.
