We loved the parks hotel very short stroll from torquay train station no need for a taxi lovely building wih beautiful rooms a nice feel to the place very spacious room and ensuite clean tidy and a real home from home. rooms were adequately furnished with sofa and tv/dvd/ipod dock. plentiful suplly of hot water and pleased to see bath as well as shower. Breakfast were 1st class such a good range ontop of the full english breakfast offered. fruit different types of bread and many different branded name cereals and fruit. Very welcoming atmosphere and plenty of info there regarding local attractions buses etc.

Short walk into town and lovely safe area great value for money

(soon we hope).
ps.not forgetting the outside heated swimming pool.a great bonus.

Room Tip: Fab place to stay, very friendly & very clean rooms.

Me and my partner wanted a some budget accomodation for a 4 day break in torquay, amd we are so glad we choose The parks, Tim and Sarah were very friendly, they were always there to answer any questions. the pool area was lovely with the pool itself being fantsatic, they had plenty of leaflet of all the local attractions so there was plenty to do. We stayed in room 1 and it was amazing, the bed was more than comfortable with a small but well kept en-suite. there was a walk in wardrobe which kept my partner happy and there was a t.v. in the room with built in dvd and i-pod docking station. The breakfast that is layed on every morning is fit for a king. you have a full cooked breakfast (bacon, egg, sausage e.t.c) as well as helping yourself to jucie, toast, fruit, yoghurt, cerals and coffee!!! getting into town was easy with a bus stop 20 secs walk away from The Parks with the 32's running every 15 mins to the town centre

Cut a long story short this Place is defiantly the place to stay, we will be coming back on our next holiday to torquay

You'll get similar accommodation and no doubt similar personal welcome and service around Torquay, but it's not easy to find that and a pool - small but heated and a bit of a suntrap (if there is any). That's how we found it - searched for Devon B&Bs, ticked the pool filter, searched by price, and it would come out first if Tripadvisor knew about Tim's special deals... Get on his mailing list - offers as low as £17pp B&B for 5 nights.

H&S demands no gradient steep enough to allow a real deep end to the pool, but unless you wntt to train for the Olympics it’s fine (and if you've seen the film "Sexy Beast" you can always imagine that under the pool is Sir Ben Kingsley....)

Location: fooled by google earth (it’s got wrong labels on the buildings) but The Parks is just about suitcase-rolling distance fron the railway station. Bus 32 every 15 minutes from just outside takes you all round the town and to Babbacombe. Driving, even with a streetmap, Torquay is a complicated place for the stranger – but getting lost always gives new vistas of the bay from some obscure side street up a hill. But it's a fairly easy find from the sea front past the station.
