Aveland house is an ideal location for exploring Babbacombe and when we needed to return to Torquay to visit Torquay United F.C. (which Aveland house is again ideally situated) I had no hesitation in contacting Jacqui to arrange our stay.
Even though we had only stayed once before my phone call was greeted as if I was an old friend who was a frequent visitor and that is exactly how we were treated upon arrival.
Jacqui and David are incredibly hospitable and they invite guests as if they are being invited into their home. Both rooms that we stayed in were spotless and well appointed with wonderfully fresh linen and towels. The rooms are without TV but with 2 comfortable lounges that's not something that we missed and besides with all the amenities that Torbay has to offer who needs TV anyway! Jacqui and David also have a wealth of local information and guided to several excellent local restaurants.
Breakfast was hot, delicious, fresh and served with Jacqui's usual charm and politeness.
All in all this is an excellent place to stay and in an ideal and very quiet location but still within easy reach of Babbacombe and a perfect spot to explore Torbay. I'm sure that we will need to visit Torquay again and I hope that when we do Jacqui has vacancies for us.More
