We have returned today from spending 5 nights at the Lincombe Hall to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary.
We have never been to Torquay before and chose the Lincombe Hall as one of the several holidays we wanted to take to celibrate our anniversary, this particular one actually covered the exact date of 28th September.
What a find, superb room, eccellent food and staff.
On the day of our anniversary , although we made no big deal of it other than putting up anniversary cards in our rooms ,we returned after a day out to find chocolates etc with the compliments of the management etc, a lovely thought.
Thanks to all for making this a memorable occasion.
A long journey from east anglia but well worth it.
Will certainly return to this hotel in the future if we come this way again.

Room Tip: Superb room No 3 in main building

What a wonderful hotel. I can honestly say that the service at this hotel has been second to none: the best we have ever experienced. The staff are welcoming, friendly, efficient, nothing is too much trouble and most of the time everything requested of them is done immediately. The entire team are totally professional.
Our room was a 'gold' room, very nicely equipped, very large, very quiet (as we had requested) and only lacked either bright bedside reading lights or a switch at the bedside for the main room lights (for lazy, sleepy guests!).
Hotel facilities were fine. A rather shallow outdoor pool and a smaller but deeper indoor pool. If lengths is your thing you can achieve quite a few with very little energy being expended - nevertheless, nice to see the outdoor facilities remaining open for us brave enough to venture through the mist of late September for a splash.
Public rooms are contemporarily decorated, well lit and comfortable, with games, books and newspapers available.
Meals are exceptional value... well worth the pre-booking DB&B increase of only £12, well worth £15 for guests unable to commit in advance. How they provide such delicious fare for the money is beyond our understanding - but it keeps the guests in the hotel to enjoy the entertainment, also of good quality. (A film each evening and entertainment on three of the five evenings we stayed.) After dinner there's unlimited coffee available or a well stocked bar, no hassle from waiting staff.
Housekeeping do a superb job. Everywhere is kept absolutely spotlessly clean.
We will definitely return to this excellent hotel.

Room Tip: Ask and they will probably provide! We selected a 'Gold' room on the advice other others...

we decided on a short break to torquay and looked on the internet for a good hotel with evening entertainment. We decided on the Lincombe hall hotel and was very pleased with our stay. We stayed for 3 nights and had to change rooms for the last night to a gold room. We however apart from the room being larger preferred the superior room because of the bathroom layout in the gold room was not very good and we felt that it was too small.

Apart from that the hotel was very clean, the food was good. Every evening there was some entertainment in the bar area which was enjoyable. It saved us having to go out each evening as the hotel is a good 20 minutes walk to the harbour which on the way back is a very steep hill.

The hotel staff helpful and friendly and they even moved our luggage on the day of the room change.

There was a wedding on during our stay which made the hotel quite busy and we left on the actual day of the wedding which we was glad about as the hotel is not large enough to be able to get away from a large party being catered for especially in the evenings around the bar area.

We would definitely return to this hotel if we decide to go back to torquay in the future.

Room Tip: superior room or gold room but note layout in the bathroom between the two rooms that we stayed in w...

We spent a most enjoyable short break at Lincombe Hall Hotel in August.

We had a super room - very spacious and and immaculate. The food was excellent and there was a very good choice on the menu for both breakfast and evening meal. The staff were all very pleasant and we would certainly recommend the hotel,

Brett and Jo have certainly done an excellent job with the refurbishment and we wish them continued success in the future.

Room Tip: We had a Gold Room in the annex which suited us very well - very quiet and no stairs to climb!

I give very honest reviews on trip advisor as i would expect to read honest reviews when thinking of paying out money for something. i will tell you, spending money coming to this hotel will NOT be a disapointment.
the rooms are superb, beautiful and well maintained, the grounds are quiet and the outside pool and juccuzi are a must try (only open in summer months). but there is an inside pool also. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Special thanks to David and Daisy who made sure the bride was happy every step of the way and would bend over backwards to make her day extra special (which it was).
The evening entertainment the night before was a real mood setter, got everyone dancing and ready for the big day, and she had a lot of talent.
I cannot fault the food at this hotel, it is some of the best food i have ever tried, the breakfast was fresh with plenty of options and the reception dinner was out of this world!
The entire family enjoyed their stay at this fantastic hotel and if i wasnt local to the hotel (i live 5 mins away) i would be returning in a blink of an eye.
If your looking for a central location but without all the town hassel and noise, if your looking for fantastic service, superb food and a great overall stay... then the Lincombe Hall Hotel is the place to be!!!

Room Tip: The gold rooms are fantasitc. A room over the grounds would be my tip.

Lovely and spacious room plus dressing and lounge area. Hotel has indoor & outdoor pools and Jacuzzi's and we spent a lovely afternoon in the warm and sunny Jacuzzi and large garden area. Rooms were clean and well looked after. Breakfast was buffet style full English plus all the extra's and the evening meal. whilst limited selection was delicious and the service good service too. Location is great, 10 mins walk to harbour area, although up hill on the way back, Well worth a visit, and some of the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever come across. Thanks for a lovely weekend.

Room Tip: Our room was in the new extension, some of the ones downstairs had lovely patios .

We booked an important function here for friends and family. The staff and management were so helpful and friendly before, during and after the event.
The décor is tasteful and modern, the indoor and outdoor pool and Jacuzzi (although we didn't use them) were spotlessly clean.
We had a buffet which gave a good variety of items, were tasty, well stocked and reasonably priced.
Whilst I cannot comment on bedrooms because we didn't stay overnight I would definitely recommend this hotel for small functions. Some of our guests that did stay overnight were very complimentary.
Thank-you to all the staff and management!
