5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2014

We stayed in the one bed apartment and absolutely loved it!!! Great to have your own space and it was so clean and huge queen bed which has to be the comfiest bed I've ever slept in!!! The food was to die for never any problems at all!! Staff are fantastic the 2 managers in the dinning room deserve a bonus and SAM the waiter catered to our every need he was superb!! Would recommend this hotel to everyone and I will be back in no time at all!!!! Hotel is in a perfect position 5 min walk into the town centre and closer than than to the sea front!! But out enough so it's so peaceful!! I would give 10 stars if I could

I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us so much. We have two apartments at the hotel which give our guests a little more flexibility with the extra space and facilities. As you pointed out we are a perfect distance from the town and the sea front, close enough for a short stroll but in a peaceful location. I will pass on your kind comments to our Managers and Sam, and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Our second stay and just as good as the first. Great hotel with ample parking and a short stroll to the harbour. We have stayed in both a Superior room and a Standard room and both are well equipped with plenty of space. The dining room is beautiful with a daily changing menu for dinner. The breakfast has a fantastic choice and good quality produce.
The best bit though is the staff. Bar and restaurant team are friendly and efficient and you are made to feel very welcome. Well done David and the team. Reception staff are professional and welcoming with helpful tips on areas and transport to make the most of your stay.
Will definitely return again...

Very friendly and professional staff. A particularly attentive Reception Manager. We stayed for just one night but this is a great place to stay in Torquay for a weeks holiday. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Food is good. Great service.

Room Tip: Rooms in annex area very quite. Superior doubles are very spacious.

This hotel is set in beautiful sloping grounds and very pleasing to the eye, with twinkly fairy lights in the trees. Plenty of parking as well. From the moment we arrived, the hotel's friendly staff made us feel at home, comfortable and nothing was too much trouble.

We did a last minute deal at a very reasonable cost. This was originally partly a business trip as well as a short break with my granddaughter.. however... I couldn't work in the end as through absolutely no fault of this wonderful hotel, within minutes of arrival unfortunately my granddaughter was sick and started to get a temperature. The staff couldn't do enough for us to ensure she was looked after and bent over backwards to help so that we could have food in the room if we needed and arranged for me to dine when convenient under the circumstances.

The dinner menu was fantastic, absolutely delicious and the ambiance in the dining room was lovely and the service, excellent The staff did everything to ensure everything was up to standard.

At breakfast there was plenty of choice, the food was cooked to perfection and the staff once again ensured all was perfect. In the daylight, we could see across the garden and beyond. A very pleasing setting in the conservatory and dining room. My granddaughter felt a bit better the following morning and had a little breakfast;

Our room, although the standard double, was very spacious, clean and the bathroom perfectly adequate and clean. The facilities in the room were great with flat screen wall mounted and easy to operate TV, with tea, coffee etc.. Perhaps some Earl Grey and herbal selection would be a nice added touch. As my granddaughter was unwell, it was good she felt very at home. The room was beautifully warm and the bed very comfortable indeed. Kiera slept like a log on our last night there which was great and the following day was happily eating rice crispies in bed!

Added to all the above, was the wonderful addition of a cozy indoor swimming pool (I would like one at home!) and jacuzzi which was great first thing in the morning.

All in all, David the manager (absolutely wonderful) and all the staff in this hotel are to be praised and are a credit to the hotel owners as they give a service that goes beyond expectation. We have stayed in quite a number of 4 and 5 star hotels around the world and to be honest, Lincombe Hall has easily provided a service to match and more.

We would definitely return to this hotel when next in Torquay. Without a shadow of a doubt.

Thank you to all of you for your kindness, caring and helpful attitude and hospitality.

Sarah & Kiera :-)

Room Tip: Everything is good about this hotel! I will try and post some photos from my mobile..

My second visit to Lincombe Hall and wasn't disappointed.. This time I stayed with my 3 year old son and they couldn't have been more helpful.
The staff are great, the food was amazing and the 'standard' room was just great.
No hesitation to stay here again or recommend to other travellers..
