“Highly Recommended - would stay there again”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

We stayed at the Brandize Hotel for the weekend and would highly recommend this hotel.

Rick and Sarah were very friendly and looked after us well. Rick was even kind enough to drop us off into town on the Saturday night to save us a walk.

The room had been recently refurbished and so was in excellent condition. The bed was comfy and there was absolutely no noise to interrupt a comfortable night.

I would definitely recommend this Hotel and would happily stay there again.

We stayed in the Brandize for the weekend and were delighted with the service Rick and Sarah provided. The guest house is a very friendly and welcoming place to stay. The rooms are spacious and cleaned to a very high standard with everything you could wish for. The breakfast in the morning is fantastic with a very wide selection for everyone. Great value for the money and highly recommended. Will stay there next time we visit Torquay. Thank you once again for a great stay.

Great family friendly hotel. Hosts were very welcoming and made the experience feel like a home from home. Breakfast offered had something for everyone. The hotel is set back off the road and is one of the quietest we have stayed in. Great location and near to attractions. I forgot toys for the baby and the hosts were thankfully able to assist with this too I would definately recommend this hotel.

We stayed for a weekend with our 2 boys in the family room
Ric & Sarah gave us a very warm welcome and after showing us to our room arranged for fresh coffee, drinks for boys & biscuits - a lovely touch after a long journey. The boys were pleased with the toys they loaned them for the room during the visit
Our room was lovely & clean with a large bed that would have slept us all but boys were more excited with the bunk beds
Breakfast was fantastic and even though there were few guests at the time of our stay they still made full presentation & choice. They even went out of their way to make something off the menu for my fussy son
Ric & Sarah made us very welcome and comfortable and even remembered and called us by our first names which was lovely & homely
Definitely recommend and will return

We stayed at this great guest house on 16th sept 13 for two nights with another couple. Rick and Sarah were very welcoming and told us everything we needed to know when we checked in. Our rooms on the first floor were spacious, and very clean. The ensuit was great with a large shower cubicle. i had plenty of room to wash (i am a large person). The beds were very comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep. When rick had shown us to our rooms he told us that he would put a pot of tea and some biscuits in the lounge for us. This was a great touch and was very much appreciated. Breakfast was top notch with variety of cereal, variety of fruit, yogurt, fruit juices full English breakfast also available along with a variety of other hot options. I had cereal and the full english and wasn't disappointed. Rick is also very knowledgable about the local area and told us about Torquay having an Agatha Christie week, and as a result we booked a play in the princess theatre which was also great. You can walk to the theatre in about 15 minutes and the town centre in about 20 to 30 mins. I really can't find a bad thing to say about my stay. I highly recommend a stay at this guest house. Rick and Sarah were excellent hosts

We stayed at the Brandize Torquay for 4 nights and found it to be in a good location, comfortable rooms and lovely hosts. We had a double room and our 2 teenage girls shared a twin room down the hall. Their bathroom was newly refurbished so they were over the moon with the power shower etc. It was a 5 minute walk down to the sea front and a local bus stopped closeby which took you directly to the town centre. (It was about a 15 minute walk otherwise but worked out fine).
Breakfast was great with 'waiter' service by the owner and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent food, beautifully cooked.
We would highly recommend The Brandize and hope to be back next year.
