A very good welcome. We got a very nice room overlooking Torbay, although the floorboards did creak a lot. Breakfast on Monday morning was very busy, with about 60 people all being served at once (something to do with 'Tinsel & Turkey'), but the rest of the week was very quite, giving the staff time to talk to us. Good value for money, we will be going back again sometime next year.

My wife and I stayed at the above Hotel 25-28/11/11. £99 for 3 nights b/b &evm plus the coach journey and an excursion through Just go holidays. A sea view as well.

This hotel is in an extremely good position, with a beautiful view over the bay from the breakfast room. It is a real advantage in Torquay to be able to park at the hotel, and the town centre and harbour are within easy walking distance along the seafront. The hotel receptionist was pleasant, and our room had an interesting view over the railway line (absolutely no noise from the trains), some allotment gardens, roofs and also a good view of the sea. All in all, I was satisfied, considering the price I paid (£30 for one night for two people, plus £5.99 each for the full English breakfast, which I enjoyed very much)
Of course, prices like that don't come without a draw back or two - which is a shame as some of them could be easily sorted out. The hotel is very creaky, so if you're a light sleeper you may want to take ear plugs. But if it were mine, I think I'd get some better quality mattresses, and I'd make sure that whoever cleans the bathrooms pays attention to the small details - the shower mat could have done with a good scrub, though the rest was spotless. The rooms are small. but have tea/coffee making facilities and TV.

We paid £99 for three nights bb+evm plus the coach journey and a free excursion thrown in which we considered to be excellent value. Our room was clean and comfortable although the shower was miniscule but it worked well. There was entertainment on two nights, the position of the hotel was good with a pleasant walk into the town along the esplanade. We would definitely stay there again.

we booked this last minute only cost £55.00 for two people to stay 2 nights,
the room was VERY hot had to open the window in november the floor boards were very squeekie, and so was the beds!!! could hear the room above enjoying themselves!!
my hubby had a shower that became very hot while he was in it and I would not pay extra for the full english breakfast it was awful.
on the bright side the place was clean and staff were polite, it was a good hotel to spend a couple of nights in for the price.

Room Tip: we were in room 7 on the ground floor was nice.
