Booked 4 nights in hotel, thought I made a mistake after reading reviews, Yes hotel a bit tired but was clean, Comfortable bed, Ample "tasty" food good position. Staff good food hall staff efficient, entertainment ok, the older patrons enjoyed it. Good value for money and yes I would return. All I can say is don't beleive all the bad reviews.

We have just returned from this hotel, and feel i have to tell others that if they are looking for even a basic hotel then this is not the place. It is the worst hotel i have ever had to spend time in, On arrival we were put in the annex part of the hotel,The toilet seat was hanging off ( which tells me that it hadn't been cleaned ) as it would have been reported, the shower cubicle was mouldy. The window looked out onto a flat roof which was full of cigarette ends, broken pipes. moss, tablets, litter,The towels were grey, The hotel smelt damp,They state lift to most floors, there were none in the annex only a chair lift,so if you are elderly you have no chance of getting your luggage to your room, The only good thing i can say about this hotel is that the food is buffet style and you get plenty of choice. would i go back to this hotel it's a definate NO.......

This hotel was not quite what we expected the room we had was over the kitchen therefore it was very hot we should have asked to move but we thought it was just the hot weather and by the time we realised it was not all to do with the weather half the holiday had gone so don't have room 104 with respect to the food that was up to standerd and could not fault that entertainment could have been a lot better bingo does nothing for me so it does want a little refurnishing and rooms could be a little better would we go again yes but only if had to staff very friendly could not fault them at all but like most seaside hotels need to come into the 21st century

This hotel has very little going for it, we arrived in a group of 28 golfers. Check in and reception was all ok, got to our room, very dated, smelled quite bad and was dirty in appearance. We had iron bars on our window, felt more like a prison cell, our shower didn't work, apparently a common problem across several of our parties rooms. We had a flight of steps outside our room, no lighting at all, pitch black at night, my room mate had a fall going out on the first night. The only ok point for the Rainbow was breakfast was ok, even though the juice tasted cheap or watered down! I wouldn't stay in this hotel again, even if it were free! Avoid if you want a nice break!!!

Don’t waste your money and precious time and boo to National Holidays who arranged our stay. Without doubt the worst experience we have ever paid for. A decadent building both inside and out. The whole place smells of fust and damp which made you feel quite sick and glad to get out and about. Floor boards are loose, ceilings are damp and stained. No sound insulation between floors, which keeps everyone awake as noise, transmits through the ceiling. You can hear people talking. No lighting in between some fire doors and bare wiring on display of light fittings (fire hazard). Basement area rooms are tardy dank and smelly with bars on the windows which did not open. Nothing ever vacuumed during our stay and some of the staff were downright impudent and arrogant. No wardrobes doors and dirty as were the stained threadbare towels. Lived out of our suitcases. Complaints ignored and the manager hid from customers leaving young girls to be confronted by the visitors.
