I stayed here four years ago and loved it. Booked early this year for a week in August. By then it was under new management. It is just as warm and welcoming and small improvements appear to have been made (compared with four years ago, at least), including a cheaper tarrif. I booked through an agency, but the current tarrif appears to be at least £35 per night cheaper (for single occupance of a small double room) than I paid. Of course, sonce the hotel had paid commission, they were not going to give me any money back, but I was happy with the value that I was getting, and you will find it even more so. Still good, within easy reach of the sea front, and Torquay has become livelier (in a good way) in the last four years.
