We visited this diner as a group with an introductory offer 2 for 1 (as long as it was the same meal). Double up on the burgers we were told , meant double flavour not double burgers, not a good start..in my experience double means double burger and all this for an extra £3.50! If you wanted any of the chicken dishes there was a 50 minute wait, presumably fresh meant it had to have its neck wrung, plucked and then cooked ! There were no draught beers available...(this diner is attached to the Grosvenor Hotel, surely they have draught beers). Anyway upon their arrival at our table the burgers had tinned onion piled on the top..so soggy that my bun was wet, we were assured the onions were freshly cooked ! Fries were extra, better to pay a £1 extra on the meal surely than have to start paying for all the trimmings. The sauces arrived, chilled mayonnaise,so chilled it had a crust, obviously not freshly served. The burger meat itself was good. overall an experience that needs a fair bit of tweaking to bring it up to standard. I have to add that in the Ladies toilets only one toilet had paper and that was a roll squashed into the broken dispenser. A visit that we will not be repeating..as we are locals they seriously need to build on that trade to sustain them through the lean winter months.
