Despite drizzly weather my wife and I had a fantastic weekend. Tremendous hospitality from Syd Jenny and their team. The facilities, particularly the pool and gym were great, the food was wonderful and the entertainment first class. Thank you. This was our first visit but it won't be our last.

Went to this hotel with the fantastic GB Tours (they really are special). The hotel was billed as a 4 star Guest House and matched its star rating. Rooms were of a good size, nicely decorated, clean and stocked daily with towels. Being vegetarian was not an issue at meal times and the food on offer was fresh and of good quality. Service throughout the hotel was of a commensurate nature. Whilst we did not see any of the nightly entertainment, fellow guests seemed happy with what was on offer. The only slightly negative point was the temperature of the water in the indoor pool; it was very, very cold. Nice pool but it felt as though we were in the sea! Nevertheless, an all round good hotel which provides excellent value for money. Well Done - The Coppice.

This was our first ever turkey and tinsel trip and we really enjoyed ourselves. The hostess, Jenny, was a lovely person, very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The hotel itself was also lovely with friendly, helpful and very hardworking staff - it was also decorated very nicely for Christmas. Meals were plentiful with good choices - we were always very full. The only moan we had was that the hotel, and especially our room, wasn't very warm. On the Wednesday we didn't go on the outing, but chose to stay at the hotel instead, however we had to sit with our coats on because we were so cold, even our room was very cold most of the time. The only time our room was really warm was around midnight when we didn't really need the heat. Having said all that and with hindsight, we should have complained whilst we were there. At the end of the day we did really enjoy ourselves, and it definitely hasn't put us off going again. I must mention the entertainer Wayne Champagne who was brilliant and so was the show at Babbacombe theatre which he was also in - well worth the money! My husband also enjoyed using the indoor pool and facilities - very good and very well kept.
