We stayed the night here last year, while visiting friends in the area. We stayed in the family room and found this to be comfortable and warm. The beds were fresh and clean, the linen crisp and smelling clean. We are in a civil partnership and they were very welcoming and comfortable with this and my family were treated wonderfully, we stayed there with our little boy who has ADHD and is a bit of a live wire, and they took great pleasure in his energy, this wonderful service made our stay there feel like home :) in the morning, the breakfast was delicious and our little boy requested warm milk for his cereal, which they had no problem sorting out for him :) our treatment there was nothing short of wonderful :) would highly recommend this hotel

Run by nice friendly couple, breakfast was good as was general cleanliness. Décor was a little dated and building was in need of some minor repairs.

We stayed on the top floor in what must have been once the loft space in a family room, although the single bed was close to a very low window so not ideal for small children. Floors felt slightly bowed/wonky which was a little off putting but other than that it was nice enough and you get what you pay for, and we were only there to sleep and out all day.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the top floor, as they're often warmer (no A/C) and there is no lift.

stayed at the Beverly for four nights in a family room, the bedding was clean fresh and very comfy, the room in my opion for two adults and a child was big enough, it was at the front with two great big windows that made the room even more better and brighter, Dave bless him carried our luggage up and then down again when we left, trust me it was heavy!!!! would definatley stay again and would reccomond, thank you for a lovley plesant stay .

Stayed a few nights at the Beverley. If you're expecting the Ritz you'll be dissapointed. The Beverley is clean and the breakfast sufficient. The rooms are small-ish but as I say they were clean. Hotel is around a ten minute stroll to theî beach(abbey sands beach) and about the same to town centre although about twenty mins stroll to the harbour for nitelife and restaurants. On the whole we were satisfied and would stay there again if visiting Torquay

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back, it is a little noisy at the front, although not too much of a problem.

Stayed for two nights, in my opinion the hotels is situated in a great location and only a few minutes walk into Torquay! From the outside the paint work looks a little shabby with cracks and damp patches in places but the large amount of hanging baskets full of colourful well groomed flowers make the outside look a little more appealing. The Rooms could do with a little updating but in my opinion are clean. They are not the biggest of rooms but after all you will generally only use the room to shower and sleep. The lady owner appears to be pleasant, very chatty and helpful, her hygiene appeared to be at a high standard (washing hands/surfaces) whilst preparing a full cooked English breakfast, similar to something you get at a Morrison cafe but tasty enough. The only downside to our stay was the male owner. Although dressed smart but a little old fashioned, he came to our table in the morning to take our breakfast order and the smell of stale tobacco was very strong. He also kept his packet of tobacco in his top pocket. Alittle of putting before you are about to eat and not the most of appealing of looks. All in All a decent few nights and would stay again if I needed a vacancy.
