“Fantastic first family break in Torquay”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

Myself, my wife and our daughter had a fantastic stay at the Abbeyfield Hotel, the room was clean and tidy with a nice ensuite shower room.
The full english breakfast was very tasty and set us up well for a day out.
Very good info provided by the owners about the local area and places to eat out.
Sandra even looked after our daughter one morning so we could eat our breakfast.
All in all, a great stay and we would definitely stay again.

Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The host was very helpful, suggesting possible places to visit and giving information about the area.
Breakfast was very good - mix of fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt and full English. Breakfast takes place between 8.30am and 9.00am but you can take your time once it's been ordered.

Stayed for 10 nights in July. Lovely hotel in a quiet location. Had room 1 which is on ground floor near the entrance - nice spacious room & no problems with noise even though near the front door. Breakfast starts between 8:30 and 9:00 but you can take as long as you need. Plenty of choice - caters for vegetarians - really tasty. There is also a bar. Jeff & Sandra were lovely hosts and always took an interest in our day. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. Approx 5 mins from beach & 10 mins to the town.

My daughter and I recently stayed here and would fully recommend. We were made to feel very welcome. We had a lovely room - nicely decorated, comfy bed, clean and fans provided which were a must in this hot weather. Great breakfast too. Would not hesitate to recommend.

What a fantastic warm and welcoming couple, with excellent accommodation and great breakfast. Hospitality was second to none and Jeff an excellent guide to the area. Close enough for a pleasant stroll in to town and sea front in around 5-10 mins

My wife and I stayed two days midweek. We had a superior room which was spotless and very comfortable despite the very hot day and night! Very tastefully decorated and lounge adequate for late evening drinks. The breakfast was sufficient to last the day, although you can have various combinations. Jeff and Sandra made you very welcome and gave us an insight to various places to visit in and around Torquay
