“Lovely weekend away”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

Myself and my other half stayed for our anniversary at the beginning of June and it was a truly relaxing stay. Wendy was incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything that we needed, as well as cooking the most fantastic (and very filling) breakfast each morning! The room was decorated beautifully - we stayed in the green room which was the perfect choice for an anniversary. Wendy was really helpful and suggested local places to visit as well as giving us options for where to go for our meal out (see review for The Orange Tree!). I could not fault our stay, if your looking for something classy but with a homely feel this is the place for you.

We stayed at the beginning of July and from the moment we entered the front door we both felt a sense of calm. Wendy greeted us and was most helpful recommending places to eat that evening. The room was beautiful, relaxing, very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and nothing was too much trouble for Wendy. We were able to relax in the garden which was also beautiful. I had a session of reflexology with Wendy which was most therapeutic and also very interesting. Wendy recommended places to visit and couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. An amazing weekend in a beautiful house with the perfect host. We will most definitely be returning!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights in May and had a brilliant time. The house and rooms are beautifully furnished and very cosy. The bed was especially comfy and i had the best 2 nights sleep id had in ages. Wendy is the perfect host and made us feel welcome and like one of the family! The house is situated just a short walk from the sea, shops and bars which is great if you haven't got transport and saves in taxis.
thanks for a brilliant weekend Wendy. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Really nice stay, extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast more than what one would expect from your typical bed and breakfast.

Perfect location, really close to the harbour but still away from the noisy weekend crowds.

Wendy, the owner, was extremely helpful, always with a big smile and great suggestions for walks and restaurants. She even kindly offered to drive us from and to the station as we didn't have a car.

Overall, a very relaxing stay. Good value for money.

Stopped here for 4 nights, given a choice of 2 rooms which is a nice touch. Wendy was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble even a fresh jug of milk each day for our room, you will not get that in a big chain hotel.
The room was very good plenty of space for 2 people even a sofa in the room.
The bathroom was just as speciouse and good fittings. The shower was not that powerful, but we where told about that when choosing the rooms, but not a problem really. Breakfast was cooked to order and any combination you require, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and a choice of cooked food, and fresh orange juice.
I would recommend to anybody who requires good acomadation near to the hourbor. Bit of a steep hill back from town but not a problem for us.If in the area again we would stop at this B and B again.
Thank you Wendy for a pleasurable stay.
Charlie and Sue.
