Owner description: Classic English wines are produced at Sharpham vineyard as a result of a happy marriage of soil, climate and grape variety known as terroir, and nature has bestowed her gifts freely upon us here at Sharpham. In the winery, we employ both New World and traditional techniques to best develop our unique regional characteristics. Our tally of International Awards confirms our position as one of England's foremost quality wine producers. We invite you to visit, sample, and make up your own minds about our fine English wine.

Our first visit, and I'm sure it won't be the last. Unfortunately the weather curtailed our stroll around the vineyard, but it did mean we decided to stop and have some food, and a glass or two of wine . We chose the cheese platter with a few breads and it was excellent and reasonable value as well. The setting is lovely and we hope to catch it on a better day weather wise next year. My only grumble would be the value offered by the taste and trek, we paid just shy of £9 each for it and in return received a couple of sips of the three wines and a couple mouthfuls of cheese. But having said that we will return, as the food, ambiance and trek were good.

A lovely vineyard, and the food was superb! We dined there as it was our wedding anniversary. My wife had duck, and I had crab tart. What a meal, considering I'm not overly keen on seafood, We also had a glass of the latest release of (rose)sparkling wine. At £25 a bottle, not the cheapest, but please, please, support the English wine producers!!!!!!

We came on a sunny day to do the Vine to Wine tour and tasting, and I am pleased to report enjoyed it immensely. The guide was funny and knowledgeable. The walk was pretty and well-judged to show off the estate but not feel like a massive hike. The tasting was fun but I would strongly recommend doing it as a pair so you can swap choices. Sampling the produce gets you good value, though for 20 quid the tour isn't cheap, and some of the wines are a bit steep if you decide you want a bottle, but the entertainment value is good. I would perhaps be wary of how well the experience could be replicated on a rainy day.

Visited Sharpham Wine Estate. Started off with a lovely lunch sitting outside. Good menu, smooth service and pleasant spot. Then had a most informative talk and tasting, followed by a walk around the estate. And of course visited the shop to buy some wine and cheese. All in all an excellent two and half hours.

Took my best friend to Sharpham Café to celebrate his birthday. The alfresco atmosphere was a very pleasant surprise, but not as pleasant as the exceptionally good food we had. Super quality local ingredients married to wonderful flavours and presentation, 4 courses with a bottle of Sharpham wine was delightful and very good quality and value for money.

We followed lunch with Sharpham Estates 'Vine to Wine' walking tour. Elke our guide was very well informed and extremely entertaining throughout our walk round the vineyard accompanied by wine tasting along the way. Finishing with a tour of the dairy and winery and a further tasting of red wine and Sharpham's own cheeses. Again, great entertainment and value for money.

All the staff at Sharpham had a real flair for hospitality and a great knowledge and understanding of their business, an absolute credit to themselves and the management.
