Owner description: Classic English wines are produced at Sharpham vineyard as a result of a happy marriage of soil, climate and grape variety known as terroir, and nature has bestowed her gifts freely upon us here at Sharpham. In the winery, we employ both New World and traditional techniques to best develop our unique regional characteristics. Our tally of International Awards confirms our position as one of England's foremost quality wine producers. We invite you to visit, sample, and make up your own minds about our fine English wine.

A very enjoyable and informative day. Shown around by Elke who was very pleasant and helpful and like everyone else who worked there, full of enthusiasm for the business. First rate wine and food and extremely good value for money. We will be back!

Ten years ago Sharpham was a lot friendlier and a lot less expensive. Despite this Elke was very kind and helpful in our last visit in 2013. However the wines are now too expensive and not worth the price paid. Their Dart Valley Reserve is now 11 pounds, this is too much. The service at the cafe can be terrible too. I have been supporting Sharpham for over 15 years but now I wont buy from them again. They could possibly price themselves out of the market if they are not careful.

Just go - the most stunning views and what a truly beautiful peaceful place to sit outside and drink their amazing wine and eat their cheese!

Lovely through the vineyards and alongside the lake on crisp, dry November morning, great scenery through the Sharpham Estate. A well informative talk about the vineyards and wine and cheese making processes and nice to taste 6 different wines (3 white, 2 red and 1 rose) . The chesse tasting was good too served on a slate with local chutney and biscuits. All in all a very pleasurable way to spend a morning.

We loved walking through the vineyard and pasture land of the Sharpham Estate. You do need pay to go round the Estate. We chose the bronze option (£5 for the whole family), which doesn't include any wine or cheese tasting. That suited us fine, with a 10 and 12 year old, but also as we are already familiar with their wines.
We really enjoyed the walk, especially walking amidst the cows - shy and curious at the same time.
