“Lovely cafe with attentive staff”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Visited café for lunch. Although it was fairly busy, we were seated straightaway and served promptly. We opted for the summer feast - selection of smoked salmon and crab sandwiches - which was very good.

“Superb coffee and cakes looked good too!”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

Great coffee and pretty tea shop in high street. We did not indulge in the cakes - too soon after large breakfast - but they looked amazing!

“Pleasant Cafe & Staff”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

Visited here on a very quiet Sunday afternoon. Ordered the cream tea which was ok but have had better the scones were a tad dry and crumbly excellent pot of tea though. Waitress was chatty and the service was good. Have had much nicer cream teas and for £4:75 each it was a little disappointing.

“Lovely Traditional Tea Room”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

This place has a lot of what other team rooms are lacking – great tea, yummy food, cosy atmosphere and nice service. We stumbled across this place when most others in town appeared to be closed on a Sunday. It is a little old fashioned but this adds to the charm. We had a high tea with a great selection of sandwiches and cakes…we left utterly stuffed!

“Cafe break”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

The windows are full of cakes so very inviting, the decore is old english, the staff are charming and helpful, you can have pretty
much what you fancy if after a light bit. My cheese on toast went down a treat. It is fairly near the bottom of the High St which can be quite a stretch for some of the older visitors so it can be a welcome break before tackling the rest of the hill
