“Great location”
Reviewed 29 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Perfect little cottage with everything you need. It's a fab location, a very short walk into town. Clean, cosy and comfortable... What more could you want? Oh and it's so reasonably priced too!
Will definitely be booking again when we have our next family party in Totnes.
Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage

“The Daisy Cottage is the bee's knees ! :-) Really good !”
Reviewed 25 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We spent a few excellent daysi days at Daisy Cottage whilst participating in a tango festival at Dartington Hall.
There are a lot of positive aspects here that I could mention, all things are as decribed.
Only real demerit is the shower's water heating system.

Everything else is perfect !
Warmly recommended !

All the best ::

Liked best: Ideal for two persons, calm, comfortable, cozy, well equipped, near to the town's centre !
Liked least: The kitchen, the attached park/gardens are somewhat small, alrighty, not really grave. To mention one drawback (maybe the only real one): The water heating system in the shower, either a faulty design or misadjusted. More info on request.

“A really 'Hot' property for our cold April stay.”

On arrival, surprisingly we were not disappointed with anything, it was exactly as described and in manys areas better than we anticipated.
Everything was spotlessly clean and furnished to a high order, with some very homely touches added in. As said in previous reviews of this property, the milk, cheese, jam, bread etc. awaiting us on arrival was a welcome addition.
As the week we were there was particularly cold the central heating system was more than adequate, but should a guest need extra heating a wood burner was available complete with kindling, fire lighters and logs.
For us the provision of broadband and wi-if was essential, I expected a slow, just about adequate link, I even took a laptop and LAN cable just in case. It never came out of the case. The wi-fi allowed us two IPhones and two iPads connected, I was even able to watch the BBC morning news on the IPad in bed whilst drinking our early cup of tea.
On nights we went out for dinner we were able to record the 'soaps' on the Sky HD box and watch them later on a large flat screen TV, you may believe that is sad when on holiday, but it was cold and didn't want to be out too late.
The position within Totnes was ideal for us, being just three or four mins from the town hub. A small shop just 30 yards away and at the end of the road, sold papers and most produce one would need, seemed to be open 24/7.
So many eating out opportunities in Totnes whatever your taste or budget. We particularly enjoyed the artisan Italian restaurant 'Jano' at the top end of the Main Street.
A particularly good day out was the boat trip to Dartmouth and back. If you get the tides right you can get a couple or three hours in Darmouth, ideal for a look around and lunch. So much to see along the River Dart and the commentary from the boat skipper whilst sailing, was so informative as well as very light hearted, even comical.

“Compact Charm”
Reviewed 22 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This small but perfectly formed cottage was ideal for the two of us as a base when visiting family in Totnes. It had everything we needed and is really conveniently located just a few minutes walk from Fore Street and the centre of the town.

It is amazing value for money, especially considering the inclusive rate and the helpful welcome pack of bread and cheese etc, and that we were only able to stay for a short break.

I'm not sure I would want to share the space with more than one other person, even kids, as it would quickly feel crowded. However, it is very spacious for a couple. The stairs up to the bedroom and bathroom/toilet are very steep, so I would not recommend the cottage for the elderly or anyone with mobility difficulties.

“Great well equipped cottage in good location”
Reviewed 9 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Great first impressions on arrival. Milk, bread, cheese, butter and jam all there as well as the standard tea and coffee.
Accommodation exactly as 'on the tin'. Perfect for the 2 of us; might have been a bit 'cosy' with 4.
Whole place really smart and well cared for.
All the electronics including wifi functioning well and heating efficient; a chilly April few days.
Totnes a great centre for exploring South Devon as well as giving a variety of shops and eating out choices. See separate reviews for The Waterside Bistro and Willow.
All in all an excellent place to stay and if we're down that way again it would be an easy choice to try to see if it was available.

“Superb!!”
Reviewed 5 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Firstly a big thank you to the owner(s), the communication and service was paramount even before we attended.

When we first got to the cottage there was a loaf of bread, cheese, butter and a selection of jam. There were also tea and coffees so that was breakfast sorted. The log burner had plenty of fuel for the 5 nights we stayed and everything was clean and tidy. There was also a nice courtyard which would have been lovely in the summer I can imagine.

The cottage is a wonderful place for a couple or small family looking to get away from it all and explore the localities. The cottage is situated a very short walk into the center of the village and there are plenty of hiking routes in the surrounding area.

Totnes itself is lovely and me and my wife have been several times and will continue to visit, the character of the village is perfect. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and I especially like that most of the shops are local and there are wholefoods aplenty.

I would highly recommend this holiday letting and look forward to my next trip to Totnes and Daisy Cottage.

Fantastic little cottage, perfect for a weekend stay or longer. Small but well designed, comfortable, close to town but out of the busy areas, clean and all facilities provided.
