You'd have to be very picky to find fault with this charming 26-room hotel. My own tiny foibles: the shower was quite small and not very powerful, the pillows were a little solid, the floors creak... but that's really about it. Very minor blemishes. This is not the Hilton, after all.

The hosts are so welcoming, the rooms are more than adequate (although drawer/hanging space would be tight for a couple staying the week), and everything is spotlessly clean (my sheets were changed after 2 days). There's a quaint garden to sit in, a cosy bar, a TV lounge and quite a large breakfast room, easily accommodating the flow of guests. Breakfast was pretty good, with as much toast as you like. One lady asked for beans instead of an egg - not a problem! Nothing seemed too much trouble. (And the WiFi worked well.)

I loved it and will be staying here again. Full marks for value, hospitality and cleanliness. Excellent!

We had a great stay here. The owners Paul, Brenda and Kevin are all extremely friendly and obliging and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel is in a great location for the east cliff beach, which is lovely. A bit further from town centre, but good bus service, and only a few minutes journey and wait time, even at night. all very strightforward. Brandy and Prince are also the friendliest pair of dobermans I've ever met, we loved them! Would not hesitate to recommend.

I started my studies in Bournemouth university in September 2009, so I had to stay for a week with my father in Water Garden Hotel untill I can move in to my halls of residence. This first stop in UK, The Water Garden Hotel, made me feel as if I am at home even thought so far away and made my staying alone here less stressful.
Paul and Brenda are absolutely perfect when it comes to make you feel comfortable and special. They gave us support for everything we needed- from a map of the town to advice where to buy bed sheets. :)
The location of the hotel for us was perfect. Close to the town centre, close to the beach, close to bus stops and it is close to the coach and train station as well.
The clenliness of the room and the Hotel as a whole was perfect, the breakfast was delicious and there is a beautiful garden where you can have coffee, tea etc. in very calm and I can say typical english atmosphere.
We were just happy to stay there and we will do it again!

Thank you!

This was a last minute booking made after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Paul and Brenda were very welcoming on our arrival and also gave us a map and useful advice on the area. Our bathroom looked newly decorated and was beautifully clean with fluffy towels. Breakfast next morning was very nice – freshly cooked and plenty of coffee and toast. However we were slightly disappointed after the reports on Trip Advisor. The reception area had a doggy smell (possibly more noticeable to us as non dog owners). We had asked for a quiet room and were given one on the ground floor at the back. Although clean it was very dark and gloomy with very little light natural or otherwise. The dark green lampshades did not help. There also seemed to be a damp problem as there was some mildew on the external wall giving the room a musty smell.

The Water Garden Hotel is a lovely place, really pleasant. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and our room was fantastic value for money with plenty of space, storage, a good TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The staff were very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and ready with recommendations should you want advice. The hotel was quiet with private parking and a lovely garden, lounge and bar. Complete with a good, hearty breakfast in the mornings. Absolutely superb - can't fault this place!
